Title: What's Is The Best Trick Deck?
Description: ur opinion~~
i_neveregret - January 22, 2005 09:47 AM (GMT)
what is the best trick deck that is worth buying?
Kevin - January 22, 2005 09:56 AM (GMT)
Seriously, IT DEPENDS.
I've seen people 'rape' a Fadeout deck (which kicks ass), and some pros have fooled even MAGICIANS with a simple Svengali.
But the one trick deck that I've been very impressed with is David Regal's
Alone Deck. Has served me well, and with the right patter, laymen and magician alike will have their paradigms shifted.... for good :D

invisible, or brainwave (with extra effect)
svengali and stripper - the basics, shud get
and maybe other cool stuff that u like
mental photography and blizzard is cool

hmm... I think Fade out.. Mental Photography and Brainwave are the best trick decks IMO.. ;)
FadeOut is like blizzard.. really cool
Mental Photography is simply stunning !!
Brainwave-better than Invisible Deck cuz it has an added effect which IMO makes it stronger...

what u all think about the haunted deck?
GordonLi - January 23, 2005 04:14 AM (GMT)
i wudnt use it. id rather ungimmicked versions for tt same effect.
Nicholas - January 23, 2005 05:22 AM (GMT)
haunted Deck , there is a version that can be examined its a gimmick but you can give them the deck to keep
:P
CLJ - January 23, 2005 06:47 AM (GMT)
There are two decks that really changed my perspectives on gimmicks (now, I like doing a lot of gimmicked work as well).
Number 1, was when Huron lent me Richard Osterlind's Mind Mysteries, and I saw the Radar deck and Richard Osterlind's performance of it, then Huron's performance of it at the SMC Competition.
Number 2, was when Kevin lent me David Regal's Tricks DVD set, and I saw the Deja Vu deck(s) and David Regal's performance of it, then Kevin's performance of it at the SMC Competition.
DÉJA VU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

agree. gimmicks if used well can produce wonderful effects.
for for the haunted deck effect, if it is possible to create the same effect using an ungimmicked method (and we noe it is), y use the gimmicked one? it only eliminates sleight of hand, but requires more effort to clean up or convincing.

Escalator card at 60% discount is the best value trick.
ren8585 - January 31, 2005 10:20 PM (GMT)
for some reason i prefer fadeout to blizzard
Broderick - February 4, 2007 12:48 PM (GMT)
The Stripper Deck=))
its a very nice deck =)
the best part of the deck is that
it can be check, which make it a lot better then other gimmick deck.
because, most layman will suspect that your deck is mark or something..

I like the stripper too, i remember when i did Bone Collector for a group, all of them went :o :o :o
Svengali is very strong too but it cant be examined.
I'm not sure about this but is the Invisible deck's secret exposed? Seem like a lot of pple know. Hmm
