Title: Help On Sweaty Palms.
Description: Any recommendations?

Hey guys. I don't what is wrong with me exactly but there is a huge difference when I handle coins and cards. I am fine with handling cards for tricks but when it comes to coins, somehow my palms seem to sweat when I touch the coins. This happens all the time when I practise. I would be practising with cards, then when I switch to coins, my palms sweat. I suppose it is very logical that sweaty palms make coin magic extra difficult or almost impossible. The coin will definitely slip the more you use more strength to conceal it.
I was wondering if magician's wax will help? or an lotion or cream that you guys might be using or recommend to me, Chinese or Western.
Thanks.

Sweaty palms often accompany a case of nerves...
.Carry a sandwich bag in which you have a couple of tea bags. Wipe your hands on the tea bags and hold the bags for a few minutes, squeezing them to allow the hands to absorb some of the acid from the tea.....Do this before performances and especially before going into a social environment where you might be shaking hands with people....The acid in the tea will act as an astringent and be absorbed into the skin. The bags themselves will give you something to wipe your hands on when they need to be dry.....
Hope that helps. You might want to cut down on foods with iodine (salt for example)....Also, ask you doctor about the problem....

I mentioned this on a similar thread rather recently, but anyway, here it is: you may want to try using some sweat inhibitors. These are readily-available lotions or sprays (look in Guardian or Watson) which temporarily block your sweat glands and prevent sweating at the areas applied.

If it is bad enough to interfere with your normal lifestyle, you might want to consider surgery. If it is just magic, the above suggestions would be good. Anyway, i have also met before magicians who tell me that slight sweaty palms is good, it aids in their muscle pass! LOL!
I personally have sweaty palms too. I just go through decks like nobody's business when i'm practicing. For coins, i make sure mine has got defined ridges on the edge. It helps a lot. Especially if you are using SG 50cents. Not many people know, but there are two kinds - one with ridge, one without. Use the one with ridge!

It doesnt interfere my lifestyle. It just so happens that it sweats when I handle coins. I suppose it is my sensitive skin to coins (you know coins are dirty), but the explanation sounds a little no sense haha.
I'm trying to master muscle pass and yes, a little moisture does help. And I wish we have a new currency like $2 coin maybe it might be bigger like american coins or my chinese coins.

Depends on what kind of American coins you are using. It sounds like you are using half dollars. But there are bigger american coins too. Personally, too big for me... If you want big coins, look for Morgans, though the REAL morgans are not easy to find. And when you do, you might not want to be practising MP with them. ;) Too expensive and precious...

I am just using normal 50cent coins or sometimes the Ezone token I have. I find the Ezone token a nice size except it has rather smooth edges.

You can always use poker chips and pogs for manipulations, especially for doing a Muscle Pass. Poker chips allow some patter ideas regarding gambling, and they usually attract attention. Pogs are a bit out of style now, but they have many topical themes which adapt themselves to patter routines. The complaint that they are too light and thin can be corrected by gluing two or three together; that would also permit making some gimmicks that would permit copper/silver or similar routines.
I know these comments are not specifically on the topic of sweaty palms, but the suggestions do apply, when one is trying to find the best coins, tokens, etc., that might be used for manipulations, sweaty hands or not...
I would like to hear about any gimmicked pogs anyone might make up with them.....Thanks...
