That was one nice and cool sponge ball routine!!

ok, rather standard routine but the ending was nice. his handling could be improved.
i think an ideal sponge ball routine should include different shapes, sizes or colours, and these should appear at crucial points in the routine. so, the ending will need to be even more amazing then those mini-climaxes (i recommend ending with many balls in the hand, and when u open, they just all spring open, and yes, thats what i currently do).

Just did a casual comedy routine for my younger siblings last evening... I was amazed it ticked them. It begins the standard way, like Tenyo's video... with an empty hp pounch instead of a purse frame.
Then I proceeded to do the dlite thingy where you put a sponge ball in your ear and you pull it out from the other, you pop it back in and when you sneeze, all the furry red balls fly out
I was surprised that they were REALLY amused - compared to other more 'matured' effects, like levitation, etc  Give it a try ;)

This is another nice routine using star shape sponge "ball". Very good to do this trick with children. Watch this demo..

wow Ning your routine sounds really interesting. hey ummm, where did you learn it?

nice routine... i like the part where 3 balls become one..
ning's routine is also very interesting...i think it works best on children..although adults will still be entertained nonetheless.
the twinkle demo is very nice...the routine and his skill is very good.
my fav move is slicing the spongeball into two...people are always amused by it...

Very bad techniques. Pls do not learn the moves from the video, and it is just a demo for the spongeballs. Nice ending though.
I start off my spongeball routines by taking out an "invisible ball". Then I make it appear. Carry on with the usual jumping from hands stuff as they multiply to about 10 balls with various sizes. Finally I place all the balls into a spec's hand to make them guess how many balls are there. They guess and reveal there is only one giant ball.

I've been quite interested in sponge balls (and rabbits) for a while but don't have a good routine to do it with except some basic moves.
I heard Daryl (the magician's magician) has a really good routine with sponge rabbits call Peter Rabbit Hits the Big Time. Anyone knows it or heard of it?
Magicdow - May 13, 2005 04:30 PM (GMT)
Daryl's Rabbit routine is fun to do. The quallity of the sponge is not that good but it does the job.
On one side of the sponge, one can see a rabbit, when you flip it to the other side, it is a bird. The routine is similar to Goshman's 3d rabbits except for the beginning of the routine whereby the rabbit and the bird swap places magically.
This rabbit set is being produced by Houdini Magic (I think). Daryl's routine can be found in Doolers Foolers or as an individual product that comes with a dvd and the sponges.

The routine is not bad. He use to sell this as a package. If you want to do this routine, you'll need sponge balls, purse frame and a Sanada gimmick.
