Title: Signature Trick
LoyaLover - December 31, 2008 11:08 AM (GMT)
I realised that many good magicians have their own "signature tricks" that no one else can do as well. These are usually more advanced tricks that requires alot of experience and maybe even some techniques that not just everyone can master.
Was wondering if some can name your very own, or other's signature tricks you know of.
Hope i get my message across.
P.S. It would be good if someone can mention some coin ones too.

Signature Coin Trick? David Stone is my idol for that(: His One Coin Routine is ... WOW! I have read reviews on his DVD and all say that his sleights are hard to master and definitely he is very good at them.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfHaNhBJXe0So far, I've never seen a better one coin routine.

A signature trick doesn't have to be knuckle busting or anything technically demanding but it will be something for which you become most remembered for.
Bending a coin is really really strong
Interlace for ring magic will have people talking about you for a long time
Card Under and in Match box is James Prince's signiture trick.
Mine (and its not my trick) is producing a signed card in a sealed bottle from a specs jacket.

Hi Rob, it's been some time since you last post...
Anyway, back to the topic:
My signature trick, if I can call it mine, is 2 Card Monte. Yes, it is one of the most common effect around, but I just like to use it as my opener. Straightforward, quick and always get great reactions.
I really can't do those esoteric- and- technically-advanced stuff like "Colors of the March"... or "Drunken Colours of the March".

It definately don't have to be one thats full of sleight but certainly one thats well executed to be one's Signature trick.

I was about to talk about this when i started the post. I remember clearly that Jasper requested that you did the 2 Card Monte the last gathering and even though you said something like its "just a 2 card monte", he said "but its always still very amazing when you reveal the change".
That was in fact what got me to start this topic.

Haha.. Don't believe anything Jasper said, he is perpectually high on drugs... at least that's how he looks like.

*ahem* I don't believe I do it when I'm drunk...
And it's not my signature effect either; I do believe you haven't seen mine. ;P

ok, not drunk, just intoxicated. Can't blame me, because I always see you doing it when drinking... but you are ALWAYS drinking when I see you anyway.
Ok, when are you going to show me? Don't make me get a DVD for it...

I agree it doesn't have to be original which is why I stated what mine was.
Yup, not been on here in ages - been to a load of Man Utd games this year though - I must remember to take some pictures for you :)
Colours on the March Drunk? Still mighty fine :) or was it a farrari?
Back on Topic - my friends ST is a Coins Across with a very cheeky and bold move, he always gets asked to perform it over and over. He on the other hand has grown to hate it but won't give it up (secretly likes it I think)
