This is a better version.

Dream Coin Set

Dream Coin Set is made by Johnny Wong. It cost around US$85 before shipping. It comes with simple written instructions only and its very difficult to understand. The routine you saw is not included. There is also a DVD available separately by Johnny Wong for this set, the routines are not bad but I can't say the same for the DVD production.

I picked this set up from Johnny sometime back at a convention in HK back in '07. I've come up with some handlings for standard effects using this set and the set simplifies/cleans up alot of stuff. Quite versatile and has lots of applications to your repertoire with some thought and playtime.

While I like it alot, I don't use it while working. Firstly, I don't think it will withstand close-up conditions (angles, look of the coins). Secondly, the effects are too small for stage (where it'll be more deceptive). It's perfect for a parlour performance though.

With some careful tilting and handlings, it can work for close-up, as I have performed for some close friends... and it nicely creamed them.

I saw his, but i thought the one i posted was better for layman.

Do you own a set too?

Thanks for letting me know about your experience with it, niquetan. I was wondering why won't it work as well with close up. :(

O.T. : Just out of curiousity, do you get your hair done by Alex? :!!:

They are different though they can probably produce the same results. Will show you next time.

Poor performing angles and suspicious looking coins?

If the angles are like 3fly, I think I can still deal with it. But weird looking coins? Can share why it's odd without sharing too much?
