Title: Kissed

Samuel - January 10, 2009 05:06 AM (GMT)
Hi,

I am wondering why does Kissed (the one that cyril do which involves a chocolate) cost so much. Is like a gaff card plus a manual and it cost up to $30.

Can somebody explain to me.

Thanks

Pleae do not try to fish for methods (it sounds like fishing to me). Nowadays, $30 is quite a norm for an effect.

Quantum Bend 2.0 cost 500 dollars.

Effects are not measured by how much they cost based on the props or gimmicks. But more on the practical level, usage, examinable etc.

I apologise if I do sound like fishing to you.

But ok, all well explained Larry. Thanks

However, I think I can make a similar trick for less than 10 bucks...

Just draw and buy a hershey kiss , p*** it, then shake it out?

As per above. When you pay for a magic effect, it is for the idea behind it. The props in any case do contain monetary value but that is secondary.

There are too many examples to quote pertaining my above statement so I would leave it to the individual to ponder on. =)

That is true. But oh well, drawing is never as convincing as prints I guess. And if this is one trick that can bring good respond, then investing in one should be worth it.

Hello , just to add some thing here because I don't think that the kiss is print on the card itself. I got my kissed trick and the kiss needed to be paste on the card.

Hello, sorry for digging up an old thread, but I would just like to ask of anyone who has this to give a review on it?

I really like the trick and I would like to credit the magician by buying the trick, but I couldn't find any reviews except for one which says that the g****** is poorly made. I'm not sure if I want to spend $30+ on it if the g****** is poorly made because I know how it's done and only require clarification on a single part.

So any opinions for anyone who owns the trick would be appreciated! :D

For the benefits of those who are interested, I m posting a review based on my personal feel.

In My Opinion:

I paid a good sum of money for this particular trick. Do not be shocked by what you are getting after paying $30 for it. (local magic shop price). You would want to bang your head straight in the wall at that moment.

However I feel that it is a pretty good trick. I have been using it very much in my performance and so far it fetches good results from my audience. Hence I think it is worth the money. I would say for this trick you are paying more for the results rather than the prop itself. Get it, use it and you will understand what I mean.

Nice simple effect to do on gals. I like it. Lost it when my bag got stolen by a taxi driver who drove off when he alighted me to withdraw money because his NETS machine was not working.

Oh that sad to hear, but can anyone PM me where to get a nicely printed one? :g:
