The Review

The DVD is divided into 4 sections:

PERFORMANCES
SLEIGHTS
ROUTINES
BONUS

-PERFORMANCES
Jay will perform on the streets with strangers with just regular spongeballs and you will see the amazing reactions from the people. There is nothing much here but just to enjoy. There is also a BONUS performances at the BONUS section.

-SLEIGHTS
This is where the real work comes in as Jay goes through the basic Hold Outs, Vanishes, Productions, Loads and Splits. You will be shown the sleights and then Jay will go through with you from the front view and then the back view so you get a much better picture. For coin workers, these should be a piece of cake for you as the sleights are similar to coin sleights. The white background in the studio makes everything as clear as the teaching.

-ROUTINES
Here you will learn

"the 10 count"
Making one ball disappear in one hand then reappear in another as you count to ten. This should be the easiest effect to learn but you need to get the counting and movement right or else your effect won't match your count.

"2 in the hand, 1 in the pocket"
You put 2 balls in your hand and 1 in your pocket but mysteriously there are 3 balls in your hand. This is repeated twice and the last time all the balls vanish. A very cool effect that I'm sure you will do.

"the full routine"
This is Jay's personal routine that he is sharing. It is the one you see in the performances section. Jay will go through everything and of course it is optional if you choose to adapt his routine or create your own. His routine uses the 10 count and 2 in hand, 1 in pocket.

-BONUS

This is best part of the whole DVD, as you go into Gary Darwin's house and learn from him. He talks about spongeball magic and teaches you a few retention vanishes and effects. This includes, showing both hands empty while still holding out, multiplying spongeballs, producing spongeball from playing card and a great vanish with a TT(the only gimmicked effect). He also shares 2 routines. You will not want to miss this.

Recommended?
9.5 stars out of 10. The quality of the DVD is great and the fact it comes with everything you need. Everything taught only requires 4 spongeballs so it is not like you have to buy somemore so you can practise and it becomes like a business strategy. Anybody who wants to learn spongeball magic, get this DVD now!

Final Note
: the 2 inch spongeballs are rather huge, so people with small hands may consider getting small ones and for holding out purposes as well.

1 inch is approximately 2.5 cm
