Title: Cp While....
Description: What can/cant you do in CP?

LoyaLover - January 21, 2009 11:38 PM (GMT)
Many are giving advices such as CPing a coin all day long. Im certain that there are things we can't do while we have a coin in CP and things that we can do in CP that comes with training.

Hope coin workers out there can list down the things they can and cannot do while having a coin in CP! Partly to guage my own standards and i thought it'd be an interesting topic.

Things I can do while in CP

1) Take out my wallet
2) Drink from a bottle
3) Type
4) The Ring Thing
5) CMH
6) Having Meals (I drop my coin in the food on several ocassions)

Things I cannot do in CP

1) Flat Palm
2) Wipe my arse
3) Sleeping
4) Write for a long time

Haha. I think all this is more than enough already.

I think you're taking this abit too far, beyond what is necessary for a good CP. Your CP needs to be as good as you need it to be when you perform.

And since you can do all that with a CP, my suggestion is to move on and try other things. CP isn't the only skill you need in coin magic.

But staying true to the topic:

I can:

1) Type and use the mouse
2) Write
3) Smoke
4) Dig my nose

Yeah man, no need to be too extreme about it.

Anyway, most of the time when we are just putting our hands to the side, it's in quite a natural CP mode already.

The CP is indeed a sleight that I believe all coin workers must master. Good job LoyaLover that you are practicing like almost in every instance that you have. You are certainly CPing well enough so I can say that you're on the right track.

What I can add is only that you can probably CP in both hands in doing all the things that you're mentioned. For coin workers, ambidexterity is extremely useful. Hence, if you'e practicing with both hands, both your body and mind will feel comfortable with it so when you need to use your non-master hand, you'll know that you can execute it comfortably.

If CPing 1 coin becomes boring, try CPing 2 or 3 coins. With multiple coins you can practicing things like P*** to P*** change or releasing coin 1 at a time with the least movement on the back of your hand.

Have fun CPing... :D

Thanks for your advice! Yes, it is definately a good advice to start palming with both hands. I can imagine how much more i can do if my left hand is as flexible as my right.

Its funny because just this morning when i was having a coin in my right, i felt kind of restrained. When i wanted to wave to my friend, i ended up pointing my index finger since i had to over up the coin i was p***ing. I bet she thinks im werid now. -_- Can't imagine if now both hands are restricted.

Hopefully during the next gathering i can ask about releasing a coin one at a time.
