Title: The Cellar Man Cometh
Description: Just a little demo I gave before CNY

This is an extract from a demonstration I gave just before Lunar New Year this year. I thought I'd post it in the spirit of the season.

Nicely done brother!!

Thanks Logan.

Sometimes gambling demos can be so dry since it's usually a 'look how smart I am' type of show. :P

Very true! If you think about it however, your job is no different from a teacher's, except your lessons are way more unbelievable.

Do you offer any advice or tips regarding protecting oneself (whilst gambling) during your shows? I think after a great gambling demo, having advice being delivered from such a pro is readily accepted by any audience.

If you want to 'spice' things up during your show, perhaps you could play the fool and show them how it's "not" supposed to be done, i.e. you perform the sleight terribly, or how you first practiced it, etc. This shows how hard the move is and more so how hard it is to perform it casually and smoothly. Then when you show them what it's SUPPOSED to look like, you'll get more appreciation as the audience now knows and can relate as to how hard such moves are.

Sorry for the unnecessary advice-giving; but they are merely suggestions. Perhaps you already know them or do them even, so please don't take them the wrong way.

Stay safe!

LOL. This is really quite ironic - considering it's exactly that. haha.

Yeah, I do give some advice on the detection and protection. I didn't want to make the video too long so I edited out all the rest. It's more impactful after the demo; you're right about that!

I have a gambling routine that already does that in my regular shows which I don't do in a lecture style demo. But either way, I usually ask somebody from the audience to try before I even demonstrate - it shows that the cards are normal and also improves the reactions when they see it actually executed. Some people actually think the cards have been tampered with if I forget (or skip due to time constraint) the audience trial.

:) No worries. You never know what somebody knows unless you asked/mentioned them first right? It's always good to hear constructive advice. Thanks.

Gee thanks Jerome... I think I gotta be careful not to flash my bottom to so many people. I've been thinking of waxing it a little to make it even smoother. :P

But on a serious note, I do appreciate the feedback! Thanks for your affirmation and support!

PS: This is the demonstration version that I use; I still hold back the best for personal use only. MUAHAHAHA. That's why Gordon got taken so many times in the last poker game.

LOL

Ok ok I gave myself another 10% for messing with dry_gin's dry gin.

:)

Anyway, it's cooler with the warning; everyone has some nowadays.
