His effects are superb, and quite creative and original
However, some of his effects is not very justifiable without the usage of stooge, 2 thumbs up for him if these were non-stooge effect.
ie, ring in egg. Prediction in hanging safe.
So clean, and amazing, but I'm still quite skeptical.Unless He is Harry Potter. Haha.

It is possible to do the ring in egg without using stooge. It is one of the best penetration effect I have seen.

Well according to him, the version of ring in egg IS his own handling and created by him, and he's extremely proud of that. Not sure if it was a stooge, but according to his blog entries, no.

The prediction box definitely no need stooge.
I have my own theories on how the egg penetration is done. Even if I'm only half right there's also no need for a stooge.
But I have NO CLUE how his coin penetration was done. And I don't want to know.

According to newspaper, Lu Chen came to Singapore last Thursday 5th Feb ;)
but came in low profile and perform.

Fully agreed.
But... if somebody want to volunteered me the information, I probably wouldn't mind either. :P
Anyway, just want to make a point: many of the famous performers ain't creators themselves. Creating and performing are 2 different skill sets and it doesn't necessarily mean you are a less-than-good magician if you can't create.
Honestly, how many magicians can really come up with original effects?
People like Jay Sankey, Richard Sanders and Paul Harris are a rare bunch who are gifted with creative talents and, IMO, too much time on hand.
