Hey Shio,

Thanks for sharing. Whats the effect for pot of jam?

5 and 1 transpo is the one using money right?
I used to do it, it didnt feel right that I am not using their money instead, what do you think?

fancy a pot of jam to me packs a punch..

For me, i use 2 coins and create a story of of how these 2 coins never leave each other even though i show them visually the 20cent coin is drop into my pocket and its always appear fly to my fist. When they reach the climax,i do the the vanish of 2 coins and make either the onion, strawberry appear.Totally blew them off.

james brown teaching was very good and he always emphasis about using misdirection and the good angle too

5 in 1 transpo is using money but i always give them inspect 2 notes and do a bit misdirection to vanish the note, and load the "note" itself again before the actual performance.

My take on 5 in 1 transpo

When I first picked this up, I used to do it very much. It is as though like whenever I am required to perform, I will do this. But nowadays, not so much mainly cause I kept losing the money. At least 3 times till date.

But overall I find it a pretty cool trick. First of all, it has something to do with money! People get excited seeing money. And you don't see people performing much money tricks around. My suggestion to you is that there is no need to let them inspect, vanish, load and stuff. It is troublesome for you and I find it a little overproving. Just take out the notes, and flash it a little of the front and back (of cause not the secret) and they would be convinced enough for you to start the trick. Then do a bit of magician F and you should do fine.

Perhaps the only down side of this trick is like what Alexander said, you are not using their money. But there are ways you could use to introducing the notes without them suspecting. That would leave you with something to ponder about.

Because i had encounter people who comment on my notes are gimmick.
So i thought it be good if they inspect it themself before i unload the real thing.

Hi Shio,

May I ask what is the other coin that you use in your routine?

The pot of jam trick is a very nice interactive routine. I can imagine this effect packing a punch if you're doing a walk around show for like some small hand-held products. The appearance of the object is a stunner.

James Brown says he carries a pot of jam with him everywhere he goes so that he can do this effect on the fly. It'll be weird in Singapore to carry a pot of jam everywhere you go. I personally prefer the idea to pick my spec's pocket and appear their stolen object. Imagine seeing their phone, wallet or watch. It'll be a double kicker. I'm quite sure James Brown has thought of this too...

Cheers
Jerome

I use the local coins 50cent and 20cent...

i saw a performer do a close-up .Drawing 2 gold fish and literally it dissapear frm the paper he drawn and appear on the glass of water itself.

what trick is this call?

To be honest I encountered this once too. Which is why from then on I cracked my brain a little, came up with a bluff and managed to bring out the notes without them suspecting. I shall pm you on the bluff I use on them to give you some idea this time.

I am not sure if it works for you or not though.
