Hi, I am David, am planning to do...
a) show for the Father's Day in my church; and
B) show for special needs child, any good ideas??
Thanks.
I recommend you do funny looking effects for the special kids. I've performed for them in a couple of occasions and I won't deny the difficulties that exist when it comes to communication.
Do effects like mouthcoil for example. The sight of something being pulled out of the mouth is hilarious to these kids. I've also done closeup for them before and even effects like spongeballs, despite its visualness is too difficult for them to comprehend. Avoid giving these kids instructions as this might make them look bad.
In short, try to be visually funny. Make them laugh, that's the key. They might not perceive your show as magic. That's a point to note.
Hope this short suggestion helps.
Cheers!
Hey David,
I think you have had experience doing stage magic for numerous occasions. And I think those should be good for the other shows too. Dont think you should have a different show for different occasion.
Just my friendly opinion.
