What: Set to a countdown timer in front of an expected audience of 5000 people, J C Sum & 'Magic Babe' Ning will attempt to perform a world record-setting 15 grand illusions in 5 minutes.

When: 27 Jun 2009, Sat @ 9.30pm.

Where: Central Promenade by the Singapore River (Clarke Quay MRT).

Why : The Singapore River is the place to be that night because there will be so many things going on as part of the last day of the Singapore River Festival 2009! Everyone is going to be there!

Dutch illusionist Hans Klok presented 10 illusions in 5 minutes last year during a TV studio recording, set the current un-official record. JC Sum and 'Magic Babe' Ning are trying to up that by 50%!

Do go down and give JC and Ning their well deserved support!

More details can be found on:

JC Sum's personal blog

'Magic Babe' Ning's Online Diary

From what we can find from JC Sum's official web page, it is quoted that "The record is the first ever magic record of any kind to be adjudicated by the Singapore Book of Records and is also being submitted to Guinness World Records".

Quoted above from their site. To get more info on them, you can just head over to their site.

They've done many interviews on many prominent magicians including international magicians like, Lee Asher to our local magic scene, Singapore's IBM President, Mr John Teo. You can read it at their place too.

So ya. They've been around for awhile. :)

Cheers :g:

I last saw Hans Klok attempting the record. Not sure if he is the current record holder. I think you can find his attempt on youtube. Check it out.

From what i know, Hans Klok is currently considered the 'Unofficial' Record Holder for the fastest illusion (10 illusion I believe). Unofficial as in he performed the feat without the presence of Official Judges from the Guinness World Records, so the feat wasn't properly verified and recorded.
