qureyoon - July 3, 2009 03:48 PM (GMT)
Hi all coinjurers,
Is there a coin shops here in Singapore that sells 'junk silver' ? I'm hoping to find a silver dollar size coins. In dollar size of course :)
Not necessarily US dollars though.
If any of you have experience looking through coin shops, do share ^_^
And feel free to drop a PM if you're not comfortable discussing such things here.
Thanks again ^_^

Generally you just got to look around for these things up online. There was a site i came across that had adds of all the coin shops in SG.
The one that i frequent is at China Town Point. If i remember correctly its on the 3rd level at some corner. Just take a look at the directory. It's named Coins and Stamps shop i think.
There's also flea market on Sundays at China Square Central with a few booth clearing coin collections.
Might not be what you are looking for in particular, but it's probably the closest source you can find.

I bought some dollar sized replicas of morgans from a random tourist shop in chinatown. They are a little light, but they were less than 5 bucks per piece, soft and might just be good enough.

Recently I purchased some coins from this I would say a coin shop whereby they sell many different type of coins. Some are old collectable ones, while some are just junk coins. Like those inspired morgan dollars. No promise that they have what you are referring to though. Its a stall at the hawker center outside Chinatown OG. You might want to check it out
