I think it's a good dvd for those who just started out in magic. Maybe you can consider Ninja too... It teaches quite a number of cards tricks as well as other effects. :)

If you just started out magic as a beginner, you might want to consider buying crash course 1 sleight of hand magic. After you learn all the basic, you can also consider buying Crash course 2 Ambitous Cards Routine or Ninja 1 or 2.

If you want to learn a variety of effects, not just on cards or coins, then this is a reasonably good DVD for you.

There are a few good classic effects inside. Eg: Out of this World, Card Warp, Glass Through Table... etc. Just that E used different names for them.

You would learn some basic sleights that are useful but probably nothing too in depth.

well "how to do street magic" is a good dvd for beginner who wish to do different type of street magic, while Crash course 1 and 2 teaches you cards tricks only.

Ninja 1 and 2 personally i felt we should not start with as a beginner, best start with something easier.

Thank you all for the reviews. Had been practicing some card tricks from Oz Pearlman and decided to shift a bit to street magic but yep I ordered crash 2: Ambitious card.

If you are thinking of learning Blaine-styled of "street magic", then don't waste money on this.

There is nothing so"street" about the effects inside. You won't be learning any of those things that you see on tv.

Any idea how much it costs to buy locally? Do local magic stores that carry it giveaway the deck of black cards FOC too (ellusionist.com giving free...)?

thks

My experience with this product is that if you are a 100% newbie, this will probably blow you away. Haha.

But if you have some small little brushes with other products, this DVD is quite over priced.

I guess if you are looking for something one off, an all in one product which is simple, without the hassle of reading, and don't mind paying more, this could be the one product that fits you.

I will say, this product suits some of my friends - those who are keen to just purchase one DVD, and impress the girls. This DVD only scratches the surface of magic.

To answer to harlequin2902, nope, I did not receieve any free decks despite buying it :(
