Title: One @ A Time
LoyaLover - October 2, 2009 12:27 AM (GMT)
How do you practice and master dropping a coin one at a time? Any tips and hints?
Jerome did mention once that you probably need to get comfortable with p****** the few coins in your hand for that muscle memory first. And eventually it should come naturally.
Here's my tip:
Use a high CP.

You are talking dropping a coin while CPing multiple coins?
Eh... I am sure you know it can be done in a normal CP too. It is mentioned in David Stone's DVD... just practice.
Not sure you are asking a question or giving an answer to your own question here.

HELLO AXL! :!!:
Ah, I hope i don't come across as answering my own questions. Of course i know a little about dropping the coins one at a time, so that was my 2 cents worth (to use a high CP). But I always felt that its the small tip and hints that makes it perfect. Many times i learn more from tips of fellow magicians than just daily practice. -_-
So am here to ask for your experience with training to drop the coins one at a time.
NOW. David Stone did mention in his coin dvd volume 1 that it takes practice to drop a coin at a time. nods nods.
That probably applies to every other routine he has, or every other magic for that matter. It takes practice. <_<
Having said that, I believe we all know that sometimes its more than that. Just like how Shade can have a few workshop on 2nd dealing, because there are certain techniques involved that are seldom touch on. :off:
So....Hope to hear from you!
Oh yes! Axl! Have you ever tried any routine that requires you to drop a coin one at a time on laymen before? Is it just me or would you also say that it can be risky. (Maybe i really just don't practice enuff.)
:(

I thought you were asking a riddle and providing an answer at the end. I was really confused!
ZiAn
PS, anyway thanks for the tip. Never knew they drop better if it's placed higher.

Hmm... There are only 1 effect that I do for laymen which involves dropping 1 at a time, an that is the HPC Across by David Stone.
Risky? Eh... the only risk I found was to have spectators standing behind. In and of itself (assuming it is done correctly), it is not exactly a high risk move. Risk is subjective to the context of the effect.
There is one more routine by Stone called Cocoon which requires you to CP 4. That one, IMO, is quite risky. If you are interested, you can go find it in his FFFF dvd.

Side stack the coins.
meaning, you lay the coins in a stepping order.
Makes dropping them alot easier.
