Harlo everyone!!
i have started to have interest in magic ever since magic shows are appearing on the television!!
[SIZE=1]how i wish i can go for any magic concerts!![/SIZE=1]

and till recently, after watching the magic show @ channel U every sunday,
i really wish to pick up a trick or two! (or maybe, many. hahas!)

and by chance,
i actually manage to find this wonderful forum to know more about it!! ^_^

If you could let us know which aspect of magic you intend to get into (cards, coins, ropes, etc), then we could suggest resources for you to take your learning further.

Hi =) magic is fun when you see your audience expression after your every trick but is lots of time is put in to practice some of the tricks. So Jia You & don't let the fire burn out =)

Hi Ivy,

You may find it easier to pick up mentalism through the use of books (which contain a whole lot of information by the way), compared to other aspects of magic which are usually more sleight-intensive and may require video instruction.
I would suggest Practical Mental Magic by Theodore Annemannm and 13 Steps to Mentalism by Corinda. They are classics and would provide a strong foundation, not to mention they are relatively cheap too.
Of course, for DVDs you have Mind Mysteries vols. 1-4 by Richard Osterlind, etc.

By stage magic, it's rather vague. Do you mean the ones you see in Da Mo Jing (Channel U)?

those magic can turn a wand into cloth, turn fire into a wand, and stuffs like that.
this consider stage magic yea?
(i hope i didnt get all the terms wrong.. still trying to learn what are those terms thou.. ^_^ )

You usually see this in a manipulation act.

Can be expensive though, especially all the gimmicks here and there, they will cost up to a lot. But if you're sure there's where you want to head, then plunge into it!
