Hi, I recently sold a bunch of items to one guy and later he claim one of the item from a set is spoilt. Should i offer him a refund for everything?

Magic items should be non-refundable, as they are secrets.

I suggest you meet up with him to verify which one is damaged. For eg, if dvds cannot be viewed (after you checked), refund. For props, replace or refund. I don't know if you check your materials before selling, but its your fault if you sell faulty equipment.

Did you give a single price for the group of items? if so, you might have bundled the set together and by law the contract is for that set of item and your offerred price.

To remedy this, should should offer a replacement even if it is at your own cost. Otherwise you will be obligated to refund the whole package by law.

However, as magician myself, i strongly suggest u offer replacement as the magic products are valued by their secrets.

I don't suppose the other party would expect a refund for everything else, especially if you gave him a good bundle deal.

Do check with him if that particular item is really "faulty". To prevent such happenings again, perhaps you can state before hand that items are only to be refunded within 3-4 working days etc.

IMO if you have strong reasons to believe that items were intact before handing over, there is no reason why you should do a refund particularly after a period of time has passed.

I sold everything to him at less than 50% of the cost price. On the 1st day, he claim that one of the disc from a set is faulty, then on the 4th day, he claimed that another disc from another set is faulty. The next day, I met him and offered him a refund of the 2 faulty sets, he demanded a refund for everything. In the end only one set was refunded.
He said he will make a police report. Can u guys tell me if I am wrong?
