First of all.. Happy Chinese New Year to all of u chinese out there! How has ya new year been? showed any magic during the family reunion and gathering thing? im sure most of u would. lol

I would just like to share my experience. For 2 years me been doing magic... im always called to do magic in front of all my relatives. i did it last year but it was simple triccks... and this year i was asked to perform again. knowing me.. i bring my cards everywhere i go man and thanks to Nick for the card clip. it surely is in full use!!!

this year, chinese new year is in Perth, Australia. of course new year eve we have dinner. big dinner with all the uncles and auntys from everywhere, close family friends etc. we all went to a fancy chinese restaurant etc to celebrate. i knew that after dinner...its going to be showtime and gambling at my aunts place, so i brought my card with me in my pocket.

dinner went on as ussual, chatted here and there etc etc.. then i went to other table (since u know we have more than one tables.. big family)then one of the aunty ask u the magician rite? then i said... er yeah... then she said "show us ya stuff" then i said yeah,.... maybe later... then she said show now la... then er... i said ok.... so i pull out my card out in a fashionable way... trying to do a opener,... but of course i did not do like wat devo did... i made it easier a bit coz my leagues were super slippery!!! kinda v new!. so while i was thinking of wat to perform... i did sum fancy cuts and it went ok i guess. then i started performing in front of the whole table abt 10 people on that table. i did the ACR (oz pearlman style)... and i executed it everything was like smooth man ( i was v suprised i handled the excitement and the nervousness quiete well.. lol). i did lots of the ACR moves i could think of abt 4-5 difff effects.... card shooting out etc... i received a massive applause and i was like wow... then all the table in the fully packed restaurant turned and looked at me. it was kinda wow man! seriously wow factor there.

then one of my uncles say u wanna see magic come to this table man.... blah blah blah... so the table next to us ( i dunno them), also big table, with white aussies and chinese all came and gather. my uncle asked me to do the same one to them since it was so good earlier.. then i said,... ermm nah nah its ok.. ill do another one...

i went on with the biddle trick (great trick), 4 ace trick2CM, etc.. then stopped there... wow.. all i can say is that its like the best experience i had with magic in front of so many people. Man, i should have gotten it recorded.... sigh lol. i was v happy and thank God that i didnt stumble much and everyone enjoyed the entertainment that night. Furthermore, suprisingly an aunty from the other table whom i dunno gave me an angpow and said to me thats a v impressive performance... i was like wow!!! again... super happy. i was like wanting to do more and more and more but controled myself and said nah should not coz i feel that if i did too many it will just be so normal and not magical anymore.

oh.. i also did a few rubberband tricks.. and my wat i call david copperfield trick with rubberbands (where the rubberbands just melts thru each other one strand at a time). super nice.

Yup, i did show some tricks. on the first day of new year, my aunt and her daughters whose 30 + wow, my cousin can be my mom! DEM! I started off with 2 CM , they were all luaghing like mad after realising the cards have trnasformed.

then i grabbed my sponge BALLS , and said, I GOT 2 BALLS CHOOSE 1, LOL, my cousin kept laughin, but of course i refered to the Red balls, and i ddid a simple trick with them, turning one ball into two in their hands with the help of pa***** and Ret****** vanish, Then i did monkey in the middle, not much reactions from this thou.

Haha, my relatives are at my house right now. Singing Karaoke, and amusing themselves. FUNNY.

Alright. I did HELL lot of magic yesterday. I start off with ACR, then to 2CM etc, and that Biddle trick (never failed! -- I was pattering : Shuffle the deck so well, I don't know your card is the blah blah blah. They were like :o . WTH.) And some other stuff, grabbi ng my grandma's already scarce silverware and bending them, same expression :o . LOL. It was a very rekindling exprience of performing in front of a huge crowd (20 to 30 + ) and a very fun one too! Haha, my gambling rountine magi Uncle even begged me to teach him some card stuff. Looks like I've brokethrough my old old boring image from past years at CNYs. Cool. My cousins are completely bemused although they are denying so hard...

For today, I'm too tired to do any Magic. Rest day. :P

nah seng hoe.... its the crazy man's handcuff which i did. i know there another one one strand at a time but i dunno how to do it. anyone knows where to learn that or wat it is called? i would love to learn that to enhance the effect.

i didnt do much.. i onli did coin matrix, colouring book, and folded card rev for my cousin n his 2 cute kids.. haha.. they r juz so cute...

Seriously now, I did some sponge ball, IT and rubberband routines :) Simple stuff... nothing wacko like Ling doing HOT ASH on arm ;) Still gotta hand it to you girl, you sure got the guts!

i did mainly coins...

now im forcing myself to do more coins (and other genres of magic, so as to diversify), and the more i do coins, the more im beginning to like it. its quite fun actually, as compared to cards (now beginning to be quite routine for me).

Just did some coin stuff, muscle pass routine and so on. Mostly COINS hahaha. ~

darn.. perform too much magic... now my cousins dun trust me to be banker to play blackjack... arrgghh :D

Lucky for me, I've a Uncle who is very very good in cards sleights so all attention on him, not me... Too bad he dun use his skills performing magic, if u know wat i mean... "God of Gamblers!!!!"

i help my wife child care on 14/02/05, (opening :D ) Silk to ball, Ball to storm snow, (my only so call best B) )Cups and ball, Sponge balls, (allow the children be in the magic :P ) Sucker tube, had try your's (Magicdow) suggestion the "Red packet", (story telling :rolleyes: ) 3 ropes, (end of the show :) )Sucker pan and (bonus for the biger kids :!!: ) Rubberband pentration.
