Hey guys,
Right now on the market the only published material I can find on the subject of parasols is Joker Lam's DVD "Parasol Anywhere".
Does anyone know any other sources?
As far as I know, that's more than sufficient for you to start developing a parasol act.
You won't need other resources really. Just watch performances on youtube if you need some inspiration. There are plenty of people doing this now.
Parasol act is one of the easiest to do for a stage worker. Of course, there are constraints like you have to get yourself all loaded up before every show. And you probably want to do this as an opening act, rather than walking around on stage with parasols all hidden throughout your show and then keeping this for the finale.
If you need to produce more parasols in your act, simply buy more parasols and add more pockets to your outfit ie. pants and jackets. Also, do consider table load as well. Enjoy, and have fun!
Do you think there's any difference between the Elegant, Standard and Economy scabbard set?
I currently own the Elegant set (velvet), but just interested to know if there's any real differences besides the feel.
I am not using the marketed set as I make my own.
The main difference is of course the material, but these are stuffs which are unseen to the audience and the difference in material to me, makes little difference to your performance.
Hope this helps.
Thanks Shufi.
Now I think I just require lots of practice. ^_^
