First do you have any broad idea on how you want it to be like? Music or patter? Length of performance? Audience size? What is your skill level?

You have to think about these things and let us know so that we can make more specific recommendations.

i would actually like it either mysterious or comedy. And i prefer patter over music. Length is about five to ten minutes... Since its teacher day's concert, it would be all the students + teacher. I have no experience on stage magic but i got eight months or earlier to train up.. there would be another two more non stage magic experience members that could join and help me...

For teenager audiences, I would go with comedy instead. Depending on your usual personality, acting mysterious may not go well.

Since it's teachers' day, you may want to look for a volunteer among the teachers - possibly those that you are familiar with already. Ask them beforehand, so that they would be prepared and not reject you in front of a live audience. And don't ever humiliate your volunteers on stage, that makes you look bad as well.

As for specific routine ideas, there are so many that I don't know where to start from. Ropes seem to be something that you might want to look into; Richard Sanders' Fiber Optics DVD is good. There's an effect that I particularly like called the Professor's Cheer, not sure if the DVD covers it but you could inject that into your own routine.

Let me know if you need more information.

Proffessor Cheers comedy rope routine will have some dressing requirements. If you are a lower secondary school student, that will be a problem unless you are allowed to dress up differently for the performance.

Also, it is not taught in fibre optics. So, just take note of it.
Routine wise, think about what you already have and see if you can modify it so as to play for the bigger audience.

Hi!

I hope that no one gets angry at my craziness over sankey but if your choosing comedy, try Sankey's Magic + Comedy

Trick wise, it must be big. Try Chinese Linking Rings.
