recently I just read up this new shuffle called an optical shuffle. I found it very interesting and useful. Thus i was wondering if there was anyone out there who know of it and know of any subtleties this sleight needs

Mainly, coordination and simulation of an actual shuffle are important to creating the illusion. Try out how it should look if done for real and try to simulate that reality.
