Very often during my close-up performance, there will be at least one spectator that will ask to "undo" a magical effect - strangely. Most of the effects I know of can be done (or in this case "undone") easily, like a reverse color change, ironing out a coin bend, etc.
However, like most of the magicians/mentalists I spoke too, they have a patter to create that out in that scenario when presuming, the bend can't be undone; i.e. cutlery stem twist.
Let us share.
"Place the fork (or whatever item) underneath your pillow and it will be back to the original state the next morning" is what I cheekily say to my spectator as I give the fork as a souvenir. "let me know tomorrow how it turns out, I will be here tomorrow".
Some of the suggestions I heard, "where's the fun in that?", "I'm giving you a chance to work your magic on it", "I ran out of juice, how about next time after I recharged", here's a funny one that I think most of you will start to use "I'm a drop-out from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry", "this one is tough, close your eyes (that's the time you do a s****h)"
What's your out or/and patter guys?
