A lot of free time on hand, so decided to give some contribution.. Here we go,

Liquify by Richard Sanders and Bill Abbott-

Have someone concentrate on a thought.
Ask them to imagine their glass of water as a crystal ball and to focus their thoughts into it.
Tearing a corner from a piece of paper, you ask the spectator to dip the paper into the water.
Slowly and eerily...THEIR THOUGHT APPEARS ON THE PAPER!

The good- The paper can be examin before and after the trick. Totally clean sheet of paper, no stain, no mark.

The bad- The revelation must be force. No way to perform it impromptu, and the preparation took quite some time to get it, though it is very easy to. They do teach a quick way of preparation though..

When you just receive the Dvd, most of you will still need to get something from a bookstore in order to start this trick. Overall the idea is good, but i cannot think of much idea to present it. Any idea to share other then prediction of cards?

PS:It's my first time writing a review for a magic stuff.. Do forgive me if it's badly done.. :)

Thanks for writing up the review - I think it's pretty good for a first time out. :) Perhaps we need a standard format for people to follow when writing reviews - it'll help those who are interested but unsure how to go about it.

We need more contributing people like yourself!

As for ideas on its use, I think one of the drawbacks of an effect like this is that it's using the identity of the playing card. If you're able to prepare it with other information, it'll be much stronger - names of people, ideas, concepts, etc.

I can think of at least 4 to 5 ways in which I'd incorporate this into a trade show where you could really promote your client or his/her product.

Thank you for the reply. It make me felt appreciated and motivated to write more useful review.

I can think of others ways to use Liquify then in magic. Haha.
