"The Effect
A card is selected and returned to the pack which is then shuffled. The magician then feels the backs of the cards one at a time and is able to find the selected card by sensing which card is warmer from the spectators touch! The selected card is then shuffled into the pack again only to jump to the top of the deck. The cards are then cut once placing the selected card in the middle of the pack - but say the magic words and the selected card is on top again!"

This is a special deck and there are lots of routine out there. You can find Dvds and books on this deck. Some magis even make a living pitching these decks.

um yar..its a gimmick deck.. which means u cant hand it out to let the spectators examine it

I love using it tho... you can come up with many ways of producing the cards - be it the mentalism way, or card in somewhere else method, and much more. Don't belittle this powerful deck just because it's gimmicked... really really ^_^

get a mirage deck if u plan to get a svengali... mirage has the same effect but it can be spread out to let the spectators check.

In that case, can mirage deck be handled by spectator? Is it fully examinable?

BuaYa - May 28, 2005 04:36 PM (GMT)
uh... no? LoL... Mirage is NOT examinable...

Svengali decks are dangerous though. If you accidentally slip and expose the secret, you'll make a fool of yourself. I try not to do these kind of effects where one mistake can end you career. I don't do hindu shuffles anymore, anyone who knows about my ritz-millenia contract should know why.

Nick.

Hmm, i believe if u really happen to make a mistake, dun make a fuse out of it. And believe in yourself.

I have the svengali Deck myself, a cheap one though, and i always use it to create humor and laughter and its sure is fun when people's eye pop out.

And card to wallet, card to pocket, kelvin's signed card, packet cuts, random cut, mentalism effect, inbulit ACR. There is alot more u can use with this pack. I dun use all the effects are mentioned but ya, it can be this powerful.

Shuffling the deck? U dun need to. Take out the pack and do magic. People will soon forget about whether u shuffle the deck anot. Do convicing cuts and show them the magic.

Riffle the card widely (gah I'm not sure that was the right way to put it) just showing that it's shuffled. Then do the trick.

This deck is laymen slayer. Those who have never seen this would drop their jaw and spit black blood. But as Blackwing said, if you make mistake (ESPECIALLY when it's the time to show that all the cards are the spec's selection) and expose just a wee bit, the spec will question everything. I know this by experience :ph43r: in other words:

if u want to use this deck in the background (and yes, this can fool many magicians), u shud just not bother about showing all the cards to be the same. it just brings too much unnecessary attention/suspicion to the deck. and once ppl even suspects its a gimmick deck (which it is), the magic is killed. gimmicks are best used when they draw no suspicion (sometimes not even seen!).
