i have learnt (and still learning) a few card routines from Brad Christian dvds. i also went for the crash course from a shop in Shaw center and also took a lesson with someone from shop in dhoby ghaut area, but i didnt continue because it was too pricey.

i have been practising card routines on my friends and families, but the response that i get from friends is that "why is it cards again...anything new?", so i am open to suggestions.

i am also thinking of getting the criss angel mindfreak box set (is it cheaper in jb?), what do you think?

Well, personally I would advice you to do like what I did when I first started. I used to go to the library and borrowed magic books from there and learned as many tricks as I could. Then, I picked out those I really liked and perfected them. However, before you do that, you should focus on basic sleights first instead of learning individual tricks.
