Here are some of the few questions being asked recently:
1. How to practice card/coin tricks?
Yes indeed, HOW?
If it is just as simple as "keep practising", then incompetent magicians would have ceased to exist on planet Earth.
I mean, one can practice kicking a football for 24/7, but if you are kicking it the WRONG way, then, despite your best intentions, your efforts would proved fultile.
So, by asking HOW, do you really, in the first place, know that you are even doing your moves correctly? If you are NOT doing it right, is there anybody there to correct you?....
And assuming you are already doing them the RIGHT way, then what's the need to ask HOW? Just keep doing what you are doing....
Maybe the question should be "How do I know I am doing a DL correctly"?
2. How to improve on presentation?
This is a more valid question than the previous one.
But I do suspect (I could be wrong) that many ppl who asked this are thinking that presentation is the magical solution to solve the issue of technical incompetence. As in, "It doesn't matter that my pass or CP looked bad, presentation would make up for all that!!"
It just doesn't work this way!!
Great techniques are THE foundation that you build a great presentation on. If one needs to keep thinking about his secret moves, he probably wouldn't able to focus on doing a great presentation.
Just take a look at the contestants at Legerdemain. All of them presented their effects differently, though they might be doing the same things, ie cards, coins, parasols, canes etc.
It is not something one can easily be "learned", and certainly something you can "learned" just from reading the forum, but more like revelations when you performing more.
Ok, my point is, hope you guys can ask good questions and give relevant answers...
