Hi there.. I've been looking around for this trick called switching card deck.. I got the name from magic hall..

The effect is SOMETHING like this.
spectator selects a card. you spread the deck and all the cards become smaller in size except the card that was selected.

The 2nd part of the trick goes something like, you close the deck and spread it again. this time all the cards are big except the selected card which is now small.

I may have gotten the desccription wrong because this is what i hear from magic hall.

From your description, I think the effect you're looking for is called "Diminishing Returns" by Mike Powers.

It's a very nice effect that needs some practice to get the handling down right, but hardly anything a serious card worker would fret over.
