Check with Pam, he has done lots of book test. Some original ideas too.
MagicalPam - February 17, 2005 02:22 AM (GMT)
Wow, this list could be very long, I have spent a lot of times with this particular subject, anyway, this is the list of my favorites:
1. Bold Book Test ( David Hoy, trickshop.com )
2. Pocket Book Miracle ( David Hoy, trickshop.com )
3. Master Mind II
4. My original idea
The most favorite is obviously my original idea :-) where a spec will keep a book, another spec choose any page number, the first spec with the book should look at the first word on that page, concentrate on that word,
the mentalism was standing 20 m away from both specs and will be able to reveal the word without any prop (note pad, pen, marker, slate ...etc ) if necessary
Mother of Book Test is very good, but also so expensive, I am sure that we could achieve the same impact to audience with less money
so I decided to not buy and go on with my original idea,
and I got great reaction ......

Erm, can someone tell me whats book tests? :o
GordonLi - February 26, 2005 05:47 PM (GMT)
its mentalism effects using books, the words and page numbers.
so basic effect is a page is arrived at, and the mentalist knows which page or what word on the page. something along that line. (trying not to expose secrets through detailed effect description...)

woah cool... wanna take a look at the effect at the next meeting =)

Brain Echo is a very strong effect. It involves 3 spectators and three books.
3 books are handed out and random pages are selected. The first line of each page matches your prediction.

Personally i don't booktest due to the nature why can't you have the spec just think of a word instead of having to go all the way to have a spec choose a word from a book. But anyway here a booktest which is very good and give a reason for the beside of it, it from caryle raymond video do check it out i can't remeber name

Hi guys first post here in a long while,
Just to add to the fave book tests...I think Pegasus Page in the latest Osterlind dvds is pretty hot. A bit of preparation but its strong.
Also Josh Zandmans IBT e-book is hot as well. It can be obtained from outlaw effects.
Cheers !
