Title: Jeremy Pei Magic Show
Description: Anyone going?
Melinda_Chong - August 20, 2010 07:27 AM (GMT)
Hihi! I saw on the International Brotherhood of Magician's website that there's a magic show on the 18th of Sept by a local magician name Jeremy Pei. :o
Pardon me, because I'm not very aware of local magicians except for JC Sum and Magic Babe, so I was thinking if this show is worth going.
I've heard of the Japanese magician Shoot Ogawa, and I seen some of his amazing sleight of hand online, so I'm a little tempted to go as he will be a guest performer on that show.
But I don't want to go for this show just because of Shoot Ogawa, so I'm asking if Jeremy Pei's magic is as entertaining as JC and Ning's?
Sorry for asking such a 'dumb' question...

I am going. If you like Shoot, you should attend his lecture.

IMO, Jeremy Pei is every bit as good as anyone in the local scene, maybe even better. Why? He was Singapore only representative in the last FISM.
Shoot Ogawa? World Class standard... nuff said.

Great! Thanks thanks!
Magicdow, you'll be going for the show right? Will there be like a gathering for this forum's members to meet up and go for this show together? :!!:
Anyone who's interested to go together can pm me ok? :g:
Thank you!
Melinda

I have seen quite a few performances of Jermy Pei, I think he is very good. And shoot Ogawa, I have heard enough so curious to see his live show. I am going as well.

Gosh! I nearly missed the show, but thank god I had a chance to catch it last minute! :D
Jeremy Pei is indeed a natural performer! He has very good stage presence and his charm can definitely be felt by the audiences!
This is also the first time I saw a well-known international magician performing live! Now I know why Shoot Ogawa is so well-praised by his seniors and peers alike! His interaction, speech and showmanship were very well exhibited in that few minutes when he owned the stage! No wonder he won so many accolades! :!!:
Last but not least, the quick change act was a blast to watch! Though the lady kept placing her hand near the centre of her dresses just before the changes took place, their techniques were very well executed! B)
Just one last thing that caught my attention: The quick change guy had extraordinarilly long and straight hair! Heehee!
Well, one last thing, Jeremy Pei does deserve to be known as one of Singapore's best!!! ;)

I agree about the girl always getting into the position too early, it was hard to notice that.
But Shoot Ogawa and Jeremy Pei were just excellent. Over all the show was great and I am glad I made it for the show.

Nevertheless, it was a great show. I could see that the seats are almost fully booked. When I went in exactly at 7.30pm, the light started to dim down and only the last 3 row of seats are vacant. All three performers did a wonderful performance. Hope to have more shows like this in Singapore, where we are able to enjoy magic live at theater.
Cheers!
