erm.. hi people...

my name's harold, and i think i know some of you guys here...

a little intro about myself:

i started magic more than a year ago when i purchased bobo's modern coin magic during my army days.. i would spend most of my free time in camp practising my sleights.
after i left national service, i haven't been practising much, but recently got bit by the magic bug again... so yeah, i'm hoping to improve my showmanship skills and to get to know more magic friends too! its so boring not to be able to discuss magic with my everyday friends...
i'm currently studying in SMU and hopefully i'll get to meet some SMU students here in this forum as well.

i started out with coin magic, and its so far my favourite branch of magic.. but i've been doing some cards as well.
i hope to perhaps perform stage magic sometime in the (far) future.. heh.

yup, thats it. nice meeting all of you, and i'm looking forward to enhancing my magic experience with you guys..

Wow! You finished that book?! :o Impressive! :lol: Glad to have you with us... welcome to the SMC family!

haha yeah.. i finished the book... the thing i like about books is that you get to come up with your own style of presenting your magic... it only gives you the technical part so you can come up with your own persona, unlike learning from vids when you're more inclined to follow the patter and personality of the person in the vid...

ya, although i read the book, i only really pracitice a few of the sleights that i feel are more attuned to my style of presenting.. i tend to avoid hand positions that seem unnatural and that kinda happens quite a lot in coin magic.. but ya, i'll try to make it on sat... hope to see you guys!

hey guys.. today's meeting was awesome.. it was nice to see that the magic community has grown considerably in the past year...

my sincerest apologies for leaving so early today.. esp. to Morphine, i had to go cos i was hosting a friend's birthday party... so yeah... i really wanted to stay much longer.. oh yeah, sorry Morphine for that shoddy coin vanish i showed you just now.. i wasnt prepared and was kinda flustered.. i'll try to show you a proper one next time we meet...

today's meeting although brief, has taught me quite a lot of things... it was amazing to see people so young do all those florishes so smoothly.. i was really impressed..

we should really meet up again soon.. maybe a small gathering or something..

yup.. so... sorry again for today... thanks to everyone for the experience today... i really had a good time...
