hi,
this is my review of Queen out of control.
i believe this can be purchased from penguinmagic.
i did not buy this trick, as the trick came with non-bicycle cards.
i made my own cards with bicycle backs.
Effect: 2 piles of queens of spades are introduced. When one queen is placed face down on the pile of face up queens in the hand, the last queen turns face down too. Then all the face up queens turn face down. Next, a face up queen is placed on the pile of face down queens. Mysteriously, all the queens turn face up. This is repeated again. Then the wild queens turn themselves into jokers. After this, one of the jokers turn into a queen. Finally, all the queens are shown to have different coloured backs.
review: this is a fairly easy to perform effect. Intermediate card performers shold have no problem. It is a joy to see the whole routine. Even magicians seeing this on the first time would be impressed. Laymen absolutely love it. but as with all tricks at the beginner to intermediate level, if you let magicians watch the trick on video where they can play back and do some back tracking, they might be able to figure out how to do it. but given the numerous twists along the whole routine, if this is performed "live" to a magician, and he is not given the opportunity to view this trick repeatedly, there is a chance the magician might be fooled.
i love this and have done it for laymen... they absolutely love it.... even those who have seen it and know the ending still marvel at the effect when i perform it...
(ps:i am not saying my skills are good... the routine is inherently good)
rating: 9/10 for laymen, 7.5 /10 for magicians who wish to purchase this: due to the relatively high price and non-bicycle backs, the rating is a 7.5/10 But if you get this and perform for laymen, it will be money well spent !!!!
hope this review is useful to you
cheers
eric :)
