Take a good look @ Marketplace right now. Magicdow just posted several very good magic books for sale - they are at very reasonable prices. PM him if you are interested.

Hope you find what you're looking for ;)

The invi***** P*** you are refering to ain't a trick/effect...

I see that you are 2 months into magic from your intro.. I recommand you to visit the local library or bookshop to get some books that teaches you the basic of magic...

You'll surely come across the stuff which you want to learn at a later stage...

Anyone can tel mi wat kinda bookshops sells magic books?SOme eg?

Kevin - March 2, 2005 10:47 AM (GMT)
Normally, the magic books that the commercial bookshops sell are chock-ful of material so old, there's even an effect where they think of a continent and you name it right by saying "pangea". If you want real stuff that works, just browse thru any contemporary magic site, and you'll see what works. Just don't look thru penguin or ellusionist, though... some stuff they spice up TOO much when it shouldn't be :P

Yeah, that's right. Check out the library. But right Kev, penguin and elllusionist have very good salemen. Everything's dressed up too well. Listen to the talk here, M@gical86, check out the Marketplace. You can also get lots at the library. 'Twas my first source of magic info waaay before the internet or SMC.

I beg to differ. the things inside are gems. Ask around, I believe lots of people still refer to it from time to time, even professionals.

I highly recommend this book no matter what skill level you have in magic. Some are basic stuff. Today, I just amazed a friend from a simple effect found inside the book.

GordonLi - March 3, 2005 07:17 AM (GMT)
i thought the book was bad too before one of my friends borrowed the book, and i realised they taught a complete cups and balls routine (yes with final loads) and even with effects using e******* s**** coins.

i intend on getting that book once i can afford it.

btw, the book to get is Complete Course in Magic, not his cyclopaedia of magic which has about the same, but less stuff.
