Yeah, taking up Magic is the best decision and thing that I have ever made or done. It has changed my life quite alot! :P

so.. how has magic revolutionised ur world?

[wy~*] - February 21, 2005 11:16 AM (GMT)
This response is kinda overdue, but I've been writing about the virtues of magic for so long in my project, I might as well share it here!
Magic involves mental and physical functions; it has hence been found to help people improve in the following areas: Gross motor skills, fine motor skills, motor planning skills, cognitive skills, attention skills, perception skills, as well as psycho-social skills. So yep...it's definitely much more than just a pastime, an art or a form of entertainment, and I have a whole report to prove it! ;)

rh89 - February 21, 2005 11:28 AM (GMT)
wy: yeah, an 10+1 page long one for that matter.

anyway, yeah magic is something which definately changed my life, and i dont regret it at all.
its fun. :)

LOL rh, actually I wasn't referring to the write-up for the X thing, I was thinking of my RS report and CLE reflections...all of which are definitely more than 10 pages i.e. CLE project reflection = 38 pages! =D
Okay... :off:

ziLin - February 21, 2005 02:29 PM (GMT)
magic..

made me do things that i never thought i would do years ago...

like just performing to random juniors in the school canteen, who i don't even know, just for the fun of it.

like performing to my 3 year-old cousins to my 70 year old granduncle, just to entertain them.

like defending magicians when i don't know what half of them do!

like inspiring patients to believe that they have the power to be as good as all of you are.

 so yes, that's magic.

BuaYa - February 21, 2005 02:46 PM (GMT)
How about meeting weird-flirty-boys?

[wy~*] - February 21, 2005 02:46 PM (GMT)
wait wait, you forgot...
like making you hook up with a pro magician...

yep, basically magic changed my life by helping me to change the lives of others!

Andre - June 1, 2005 04:39 AM (GMT)
Well... It actually all depends on how you use your magic. For me, I use magic to "heal" people from depression. I always emphasize that "Anything is Possible, you just got to believe". Its like a motivational tool for me now and also a way to get plenty of free beer. hahahaha

Blackwing - June 1, 2005 11:16 AM (GMT)
Eh Buaya were you referring to me? Hmph.

Anyway magic changed me into a more confident person. I have no qualms about performing to random pretty girls at orchard. Its fun.

lukold - June 1, 2005 02:12 PM (GMT)

magic has changed by life by giving me a interest that would last for life.

magic has changed me alot:

1. poorer (definitely)
2. entertain others
3. widen my circle of friends
4. learn abt practicing, determination, theory, emphasis on details, etc.
5. keep me occupied

HarapanOng - June 3, 2005 02:03 PM (GMT)
Started out 5 years ago, it has indefinitely revolutionized my life:

1. Made my FAMILY poorer.
2. I love to joke. With magic, i gain confidence to joke with strangers, on performance and off performance.
3. Made friends, purposely (girls) or unintentionally (boys AND girls.)
4. Gain speech and performance skills and confidence.
5. Have something to do in free time.
6. Have something more interesting to talk about when i meet people, instead of the usual "Weather's hot, eh?". Now i say "Show ya something..."
7. Healed those hard moments in life, either mine or theirs.

Magic's not only fun, its also useful, respect-worthy and valuable. (not to mention expensive.) It has given me great experiences and reactions from people i knew, i hardly knew and some i NEVER knew. It has somewht brought me to a higher level in life.

I used join public speaking competition and debates when i was in secondary school hence i don't have much problem performing to a large crowd.....

However i grew tired of all this and quit debating and public speaking altogether..... It was magic that make me a performer again.....

In the past people just know me as the guy who can draw ( Actually drawing is really my first love).... Now most people remember me as the guy who do magic.....

Magic make my life much more interesting.... And now i try to make other people's life interesting by showing them magic....

I started magic because i was really bored...or should i say i was in a depression before starting magic.... Life just seem so dull and boring...
After learning magic... the depression started to go away and i made more friends.... It's like i found something meaningful in life again....

Yes magic heals :)

Magic is a crazy thing,

1. Impress others (mainly girls)

2. Make others jealous (mainly guyz)

3. Break the ice without trying so hard to come out with topics

4. Made me spend a 4 digit amount

5. Makes me think and react faster in situations

6. Make others to forget my name and call me Mr. magician

7. meet lots of new friends

8. easier to date girls out

9. save some money when buying presents (because i always use dark cards)

10. lastly, mess up my time schedule... hahas

<Aaron> - April 25, 2006 02:36 PM (GMT)
