i like it a lot, but sadly dun have enff routines for it...
all i use it for is bill switch stuffs n torn n restore sugar pack...
it can actually be use for leviation effects... but quite lame leh.. haha
check out easyfloat from download magic... (hmm, is this an exposure??)

edited: correction, it's magician's leviation, not easyfloat...

vanishing a cigg butt with it still lighted is cool... u just need some foil in it

illusionist - September 28, 2004 06:29 PM (GMT)
There are many tricks you can do with TT just use a little imagination. :)

makanmonkey - September 28, 2004 07:02 PM (GMT)
ren... actually if u use a hard plastic type (eg vernet's classic) most prolly no need any foil, just stub it fast...

i like the idea of the candy pack trick where u tear off a corner of a pack of candy, pour out some candy for someone, then heal the pack back B)

TT is the most powerful utility that has not been really exposed yet. Hope to keep it that way. The bill switch is my favourite, it is so strong.

makanmonkey - October 1, 2004 04:01 AM (GMT)
that's my most favouritest TT effect too... actually that's how i became interested in magic... it was in the army during one of the weekend runs the driver was entertaining us "lao jiao" (seniors -- who no need to run just carry stores haha) while waiting for the rest to show up and he did the bill switch, but i did notice his ahem prosthetic appendage so became obsessed with finding out how he did it... took me abt 2 yrs of intermittent searching believe it or not... couldn't believe i could be fooled by something like that!

but then after learning more abt magic... i realised how gullible some of us can be haha B)

No Chris you are definately not too amateurish to think that a TT is one of the best gimmicks around. It is one of the most useful and versatile gimmicks. Try getting the videos Rules of Thumb. There are 3 volumes filled with many different things you can do with a TT. I still use the TT as often as possible.

Ning, TTs come in different sizes. And you can find them in many other places than Magic Castle. Try searching online! The japanese makes are generally smaller in size.

I feel TTs should be priced at a much higher price, maybe $100+, but this will encourage copies.
Anyway, a TT's average is about S$10, can get from the local magic shops.
