Hi and welcome to the forum, there are a couple of ways to buy/sell magic,

1. BUYING NEW ITEMS: If you are looking for NEW items (commercially available) please view the list of dealers in the forum by CLICKING HERE. Then you send them a PM to ask if they have what you want and how much it costs.

2. BUYING DISCOUNTED/USED ITEMS: You can go thru the posts in this section of the forum to see what our members have for sale, then you can PM them and negotiate the price (if unstated). Alternatively, you can post a "want" ad, please start all requests with "WTB:" (want to buy) in your topic title. It makes it easier for others to read. eg. "WTB: girlfriend who doesn't make fun of me" or something.

*** You also have to abide by conditions as listed in Note to Buyers ***

3. SELLING YOUR STUFF: You might want to start your post with "WTS" (want to sell) for others to know what your topic is about at first glance. Alternatively make it clear that you are selling your stuff in the topic title. eg. "WTS: SBS bus number tags" or "Selling my used hanky collection"* Please note it is the common practice here to quote your price with your post, and indicate if it's negotiable.

ALSO: Please leave a msg after you've sold your item so I can delete the thread.

OTHER POINTS TO NOTE: (+) ONE POST per item only please. Don't sell the same item on seperate threads. (+) You can however post a few items in a single thread. (+) Please adhere to the Main Forum RULES eg no sale of pirated items etc. Please go read if you haven't already done so.

COMPLETING THE TRANSACTION: You can then complete the trade at our next outing (we have them about once a month, check the "Events and Outings" section) or by whatever means you both are agreeable upon, (meet up on your own, postage etc) anything goes, as long as both of you are agreeable B)

Update

There is a change in the usage of Marketplace. To prevent abuse of the marketplace in its various forms, and/or people coming in, post an advertisment in Marketplace and disappear forever, we have changed the permissions for the usage of this area.

The posting of new topics/thread in Marketplace (i.e. the advertising of products for sale (WTS) or requests to buy (WTB)) is limited to

SMC Members

OR

SMC Forumites who has reached "Contributing Forumite" state (currently set at 80 posts).

The replying to topics however remains open to all.

Also, please do NOT

1) Hijack someone else's thread by advertising with follow-up posts because you cannot start a thread yet. That is both bad form and warning inducing.

2) Flood the other sections with meaningless posts or one-liner posts with very little added value (e.g. "That's funny!", "I agree -_- ", "What do you mean?", etc etc) in order to raise your post counts. If you have some funny one-liner or joke to say, try to add on to it by saying something that contributes to the topic together with your joke.
Spamming will only result in your post counts being reduced which mean it will take longer for you to reach the post count needed.

3) Post in other sections to sell your items.
