Title: Has This Happened? Is This Going To Happen?
Description: Alright, i'm bored..

Has any crazy Singaporean flourisher flown all the way to Europe to take part in the Ulmen Trials during the past few years? (was he successful with at least the 1st few steps?)
If no, then is someone from the Lion City gonna take up the challenge?
Is that person gonna be one of the members of SMC?
What do you guys think? Any speculations on who might be the 1st Singaporean bold enough to do so? :D

I think we have a few in smc who may have e quality in them whom may take part in the trials if they happened to be in europe on holidays...But to specially fly there,i think it takes a strong mind to part with the air tickets $$$ B)

Whitemark u can edit ur post lol.
Ulmen trials?
I think its not that worth it to go over ot take part in it,
I just think that its a regular flourish competition, that is overhyped, like a wrong dose of ecstacy of something .

Number 1: the Ulmen Trials prolly don't exist for all you know. Where's the website? I mean, come on. De'vo claiming that it's "top secret" to keep the general public out of it is being wayyy too ambiguous and that just doesn't cut it. I know people who have contacts in Germany and these contacts know about the castle but are completely clueless about any sort of competition going on there too. Thirdly, I don't see the point of spending half of your life's savings to prove that you can do foot shuffles or set yourself and your cards on fire and then jump into the lake to extinguish everything like a hot steam bath. The "photos" and "videos" at the superhandz webbie for all you know may be fake. Kinda like the Moon conspiracy, y'know, where they had that theory that the whole landing-on-the-moon was just filmed from a top-secret military base called Area 51. You never know ('specially considering that with all the stuff surrounding De'vo, you can actually never trust what he says. The guys who're up to date with all the flourish stuff and everything know what I mean) It'd be like
random Singaporean flourisher: Hey, I'm here for the Ulmen4 trials, you know where that is?
german guy: Ulmen4? Vat is that?
random Singaporean flourisher: you know, the Ulmen4! That thing held in the huge castle across that lake over there!
german guy: um, the German Association of Gay and Sexually Frustrated Nazis?
random Singaporean flourisher: no, you d******. The ulmen4, where those guys do all those weird things with a pack of cards to get some title, and where they have that ritual at the beginning with these 4 cloaked dudes.
german guy: Dang, you ARE talking about the German Association of Gay and Sexually Frustrated Nazis!
Number 2: if it really did exist, you know De'vo inherently has problems against Singaporeans. Yeah. So you might not wanna turn up there or he might sic the entire village against you. Unless we turn up in a mob, that is =/
Number 3: Bone could probably get pretty far in the trials. But De'vo wouldn't like that, would he - "hey, it's the copycat who ripped off my style and the guy I banned from my own forum because he was becoming better than me and I can't handle that truth! Ulmen4, ASSEMBLE! Get your freakin' flaming torches out! Yeah, the ones you used to do that freakin' weird ritual at the beginning of the thing!"

Frankly, whether or not the trials exists matters moot. But the thing is; the requirements for the trials are pretty challenging, and take QUITE some time and dedication to pull off and create. Quite a difficult process for most of us.

i agree wif CLJ...
teh ulmen trials is jus something tat De'vo claims exists but top secret...
its probably like the "motions" dvd.. which "sold out in 10 mins"
no ones ever seen it before.. so.. IMO anyone thinking about going the the ulmen trials should keep their money or spend it on a coupleof jerries..

Very daunting....

U can see the requirements.. There shouldn't be any requirements to ENTER the competition. But to get past the 1st 6 steps are like  and it must be in that order..
For those who are lazy to go to superhandz.com, here are the 1st 6..
1st requirement. Two one-handed shuffles
2nd requirement. SSS (self standing sculpture)
3rd: Double cross cobra cuts
4th: Shuffle with your FEET
5th: Double arm spreads
6th: 30 packet array
8th: Cradle to Grave
just curious. what's the 7th step?
CLJ - March 15, 2005 05:19 PM (GMT)
I think they're aerial combos or something like that.
