WOW GUYS GREAT VID!!
My favourite was Daren's Dynamite at 55 seconds. Looks darned slick!
The Madonna was done extremely fast as well. Crazy stuff!
Senghoe's Flipback fan is :huh: freaking big.
Daren's cut at 1.18 is darned abstract as well.
The stuff was very amazing and you guys just keep improving... one thing though, the whole video seemed to be very Bad Habit based beside the armspread and flipback fan. So to a layman they might not be able to see much of a difference in the cuts.
But still, great vid. Great job guys.

Very nice vid guys.. im not as surprised as others because I see all this very often. I was sure shocked when I saw Seng Hoes Flipback Fan! Mismatched is a nice cut, but I think it needs to exude more style, so people will remember it better. its a nice video, fulla cuts a la spring jam.

that dynamite cut was really cool. i've never seen it before. i liked the black and white shot where someone does a cut and you can see the buildings in the background.

For those who gave comments that stray from the average, kindly explain why, as you can help them improve if you feel some things were not done well. if you're just out to play a prank, its not very nice of you, dont do that again. be fair in your critique.

Hey guys, great video. The cuts, the background, the sync with the music, the flash effects, the feel of the video, were all very well done.

Hmmm........ very very nice video... no doubt...

However, I had more "Holy Sh*te" moments when I saw HFFH, and MagicB's FlourishCuts (sic).

Perhaps I'm biased.

1. I don't like HDB's in the background
2. I like to see aerials (hence Kev and B)

This might have been done before, but can you guys attempt filming in public. Probably might get a couple of weird gawks, stares etc...

Often, in skateboard videos, the filming crew often encounters security guards among other things. Perhaps that would be an interesting addition to flourish vids.

Just throwing ideas around.

Kinda agree that Urban didnt have the impact that we wanted. We are working on a new project, and IN THE PUBLIC :D

Oh!!! Like the video man, good job guys. Hmm, one thing watching all those flourishes. I cant see whats the different in most of them. Maybe you guys are too fast. Like the turning and changing. I like the part where someone kick the card up. That was Wow to me. I not a flourisher, so it is a kick*** video for me. Nice!!!

Maybe you guys could try having less shots of the lower body. And try getting close to the hands and wrists when shooting the vid.

I think Whitemark's concept has more appeal. He has only ONE shot of the lower body (for Vertigo. am not too sure about the name or D&D's stuff as of yet :P ).

Avoid body shots. Unless, you are wearing like, black all over, or something super formal. There would be more appeal.

Anyway, i think that overall, its a great vid. I was in no position to judge last time, but now i feel more accustomed to flourishes. That's why this post came in so late ^_^

Btw, introduce more stuff in your next vid guys! Kinda monotone, especially for layman. But for me, its still a wow. B)

It's their style... it is not the wrong thing to do if a few people don't like it. You can't satisfy everyone!

But for the record, these guys did very well in the dan and dave forums.. a lot of people gave them great reviews!

I don't get why we have to wear all black or formal in order to produce a better flourish vid. (i don disagree with the point that if the cam was more focused on the hands would be great)

Those are just different styles and different methods to express themselves. And showing them doing such stuff in an 'urban' environment (HDB, uniform rite?) fits the name of the theme that they have used for their vid

I personally think that they did a great job and liked the vid.

But like Daryl said. It's their style. And they can't satisfy everyone. But like i said, the moves are already good! :P

I notice that in the D&D forums, people mainly comment on moves, editing and music. I think it's because everyone is a flourisher there. Seems like no-one cares about image. Maybe i should start doing the same too.. ;)
