Jim’s Magic Review

The effect:
Bring out a champagne glass filled with water. Your hands are shown empty front and back. Reach into the air and catch an invisible "something." A spectator now does the same and adds his/her "catch" to your hand. Turn your hand over the glass--SPLASH--2 live Goldfish suddenly appear from your previously shown empty hand. You can even pass out the glass and fish for examination!

Pros:
-Yes, you can pass out the glass for full examination
-I tried and you can actually keep the fishes for at least 10 minutes in the gimmick without harming them. You can produce up to 4 fishes (depending on their sizes)
-A very visual and amazing effect for the audience. If you are good, some audience participation can be included.

Cons:
-You need to practise in order to load the gimmick and perform it well. (it is advisable to perform this trick as your opening act, then you will not have the problem of loading the gimmick because you can have it on before you start)
-Although you can show you hands "empty", you have be careful with your angles as well.
-Fishes can't be too big! You know what I mean....
-Not very suitable for large audience cos' only few in front can actually see the fishes after being produced.

For who:
-Parlour Magicians who wants something different for their opening act!

Not for...
-Stage magicians
-Magicians who are against using life stock for entertainment. (But you will not harm them if you are careful, yes, careful is the key word)

Overall rating, I will give it a ;) ;) ;) out of 5.
