Title: Ghost In A Hotel ?
Description: Got this from my email.

Winder - March 20, 2005 03:09 AM (GMT)
Hello

For all of u who love travelling.

OK, here's some believes of the hoteliers:

Every single hotel, there shall be at least a permanent room which
should be left vacant at all times. No matter how full the hotel is,
they are not to sell that room(s) to any guest.

It was said that special room was "reserved" for those "special
visitors".

So, if you plan to stay in some hotel, always book in advance.

Try to avoid walk in. If the receptionist told you there's no more room
available, do not insist one anymore or try to bribe them to give you a
room. If you do that, most of the time the room you have will be that
"special room".

Sometimes those "special visitors" might go to other rooms also, so
here's some tips on how to protect yourself:

- Before entering your room, always knock on the door first, even if you
know the room is vacant.

- After you enter the room, if you felt very cold suddenly and have
"chicken spore", leave the room quietly immediately and go to reception
to request to change room.

Most of the time the receptionist will understand what's happening.

- After you enter the room, immediately switch on all of the lights, and
open the curtain to let the sun light in.

- Before you go to bed, arrange your shoes so that one of them is upside
down. Some say this is representing yin& yang to protect you while
you're asleep.

- Always leave at least a lamp on while you're sleeping, preferably the
toilet's lamp.

- If you're staying alone and they have give you a twin bed, do not
sleep with the other bed vacant, try to put your things like luggage on
the other bed before you sleep

Another tip to protect yourself....When you enter your hotel room, look
for the Bible. Most hotel place the Bible inside a drawer. However, if
upon entering, you see the Bible on the table, DON'T STAY IN THAT ROOM!
It means "special visitors" are there.

If you see the Bible opened up on the table, LEAVE THAT ROOM IMMEDIATELY
and request a change of room!!! It means the "special visitor" is really
creating trouble in that room!!

And here's some tips on protecting yourself in the cinema...

Do not attend the first screening of any movies in the cinema.

By the first screening, I mean the first time the movie is shown in that
particular cinema. Reason? The first screening is meant for the "special
visitors".

However, if you insist on going, then sit somewhere in the middle. The
first and last rows are reserved for "them" !!!

Be warned....

P.S. Got this from Email, just wanna share this. :)

Winder - March 20, 2005 03:27 AM (GMT)
Saw 1 in 1 of the malaysia hotel when i was staying overnight, Melaka ? Is this how you spell it ?

Hehehe...

[Ling] - March 20, 2005 03:49 AM (GMT)
It's better not to touch the Bible.
And there's a arrow on the ceiling or drawers pointing to the direction of Mecca - the Holy Land for the Islamic, if you are curious about it...

And I have read about an article whereas one guy went to a Nepal hotel and when he slept on a bed, he smelt a strong strench. The strench of Death... True enough, when he filpped open the mattress. A dead and decomposing body was here. So he have been sleeping with the Dead for nights... Scary notion... But I think this happens only in rural nations, but it's better to be cautious etc.

[Ling] - March 20, 2005 04:01 AM (GMT)
My brother is doing a project on the Paranormal, so he got this article. So here's it.

Ways to see a Ghost :

1 :杯仙。(I dunno what is that...)
2 : Hit bowls with chopsticks during midnight.
3: Play Hide and Seek during midnight.
4: Use the soil that have been used to bury the Dead to rub on your eyelids, then open your eyes,
5 + 6: Open your umbrella indoors + look between your legs.
7 + 8: Slice an apple during midnight + 生人过死门。(have no idea what's that...)
9:Wail and cry on the streets during midnight
10: Wear a burial gown. 寿衣。(I dare you this!)

Cool eh?

SwL - March 20, 2005 05:15 AM (GMT)

M@gical86 - March 20, 2005 05:34 AM (GMT)
Imagine u rubbing the soil with your eyes closed and immediately when u open your eyes,a person is standing infront of u face to face...And when u open your umbrella and look between your leg and find someone hanging upside down on your legs...SPOOKY :ph43r:

Mystical2004 - March 20, 2005 05:40 AM (GMT)

but aniwae i hope i dun encounter such stuff.. who would? :)

Lolz.. The ten ways gotten from the movie "the eye" right? ok.. from what I have learnt so far. Usually when I go overseas and stay in a hotel, I will do a couple of things first.

1) Take the bible and leave it open on the table. Heard from some people that it drives away unwanted guests.
2) Take a towel and cover the mirror. As the mirrors are usually facing the bed, some people believe that your soul will get sucked into the mirror when u're asleep.

At night if you hear anything strange, just ignore it. You dun disturb them, they dun disturb you. Simple as that.

Doesn't that mean that the 'special visitor' is actually a person who BOTHERs to read the Bible?

Ling: I'd freak out if I was that guy, this stories are repeated everywhere though...

When I go overseas and stay in a hotel, I abuse the use of the hotel facilities and the hotel staff, order room service every day, play human bowling at the bowling alley and flood the tub in my room's bathroom.

Shoot me if you want, but this kinda stuff really just...weird. Kinda like stuff people with nothing better to do or my great grandparents (it works both ways... same difference  ) would think up of. No offence to anyone out there that actually believes this stuff, though =D

Mystical2004 - March 20, 2005 08:18 AM (GMT)
haha... tubgirl... scary man...

bean - March 20, 2005 09:08 AM (GMT)
is tubgirl the one spraying wif sh1t? the one upside down one?

Ning - March 20, 2005 09:26 AM (GMT)
Creepy... ever heard about putting shoes in opposite directions before you sleep at night so you won't get 'possessed' by a spirit who's wearing them, when you wake up and wear them the next morning?

...Some people say you shouldn't because make the effort because... you might just get a fright when you wake up and realise some kind soul had actually kindly tidied it up for you while you were sleeping!

 Ask your grandma... it's perhaps one of those ancient tales of old... I kid you not!

BuaYa - March 20, 2005 10:41 AM (GMT)
AH! I know one. Put your shoes far apart so that the spirits have to do splits in order to wear your shoes WITHOUT moving them. Next morning if you find your shoes right beside each other... Then... Um... Pray. Hard.

There's also a belief that whenever you do enter your new house, step in with your left leg. Supposed to ward off evils.

Woot! I just watched Exorcist and Exorcist II. Rocked! Still loved them after watching so many times. Never failed to spook me.

- Ling.

Ning - March 21, 2005 04:16 AM (GMT)

[Ling] - March 21, 2005 07:37 AM (GMT)

In my realigion (Islam), you're suppose to enter a house with your right leg or for that matter, use your right leg or hand to do anything first. But when you enter the toilet, you are suppose to use your left.

Desmond - March 25, 2005 10:48 AM (GMT)
can explain why left for toilet n right for other things?

[Ling] - March 25, 2005 12:28 PM (GMT)
Oh ya... Islam uses right hand for ''good'' stuff, and 'left' hand for other stuff.. Forgot about it...

Defile - March 26, 2005 03:13 PM (GMT)
All these stuff applies only to certain religions la.. Depending on what you believe in, these superstitious stuff might not occur to you as superstitious.. For example, rubbing soil onto your eyes might just seem like doing a facial or something for someone else...

Clement - March 26, 2005 03:32 PM (GMT)
Islam uses "right" hand to eat and "left" hand to throw the rubbish(tissue paper etc)...if i am not wrongs

anyway...people believe that dogs can see those "things"...i got this encounter when my dog barked at the windows during midnight and its was the hungry ghost festival somemore...creep me out...damn

[Ling] - March 26, 2005 03:51 PM (GMT)
I watched 'The Eye 10' today.

Not scary at all for me... Just interesting...

Hiaz, it didn't meet my expectations. I give it 6/10.
I only like the part where they wore the burial gowns.

Haha, thank you...

Because I've been into this kind of stuf for like 3 years? Hardcore horror movies, played so much ouija board etc... Things would be a little normal to me now... :P

Angel_heart - April 29, 2005 10:43 AM (GMT)
But really got people do this type of things 1 meh ?

neotrident - April 29, 2005 01:38 PM (GMT)
i think what my family was covering the mirror facing the bed and throw some white rice in the room to prevent u from seeing them..

I have some tips to overcome your fear.

1)put a broken tooth and when u see them, treat them as a tooth fairy

2)just think that u saw a ninja when u saw a black shadow

3)if u are in hong kong,in mandrain hotel, think that it is leslie cheung coming to sing for u

4)if u see someone with long neck..think of it as a kind of tribe which have long neck

5)scold vulgar words at them

6)dress up as them, make them think that you are 1 of them or maybe scare them back

7)this is what my friends said:"if we outnumber them ah..lets go whack them"

8)if u belong to any uniform group, wear your beretwhen u go out AT ALL TIMES..(heard that they can get rid of them with the crest, they must repect it)

9)chant

10)LASTLY,dont even believe thier exsistence and be brave

some of them sounds ridiculous but i 5,8,9 and 10 ae really true..cuase i try it...

Defile - April 29, 2005 01:46 PM (GMT)
Aiyah... You don't disturb them, they don't disturb you. You think they so free to come disturb you ah.

[Ling] - April 29, 2005 03:23 PM (GMT)
I got a proven way to make you feel alot better when you have the feeling that something is following you etc.

Look up high, open your both palms, straighten your arms totally. And chant. Sure will work.

Because, the head provides Light and clarity, the palms are chakras, they let out good enegry also. So that position would be very very powerful.
To cleanse your body, go to the temples, just walk around. But DO NOT GO TO THAI TEMPLES, for certain reasons. Thai ones are evil. I'm honest and serious!

:)

lukold - April 29, 2005 03:51 PM (GMT)
lol , when i see something funny , i go crazy
i mean like a jumping around and yelling for no reason LOL =p
