What is your goal ?

Maybe we can start with Aloy, what's your goal ? maybe with SMC ?

My goal is magic is to see more people enjoy magic as a form of entertainment and hobbie lol.. and have lots of fun with it... :D

Seriously, my personal goal for my magic is to enjoy it as a hobby and a social tool. A hobby as therapy away from this mad world, and as a social tool to meet people and add spice to social interactions.
On top of that, i have a personal conviction to try doing what little I can for children and youth with various needs. So magic is a tool i like to use to break the ice and connect with them quickly. If possible, to encourage them and communicate a message thru it. If not, just to entertain them and add a speck of colour to their day.

For SMC, I hope that no aspiring magicians and hobbist will ever have my problem of cannot finding like-minded people again. I almost wanted to join Magic Castle's membership because i thought it is a magic club.
Thing is, previously, unless you already know people in magic, it's very difficult to meet people who are interested in magic, that is what i want to change.
At the same time, i hope SMC can contribute whatever little we have to offer to the local magic scene. I hope we can be a place where magicians and hobbists alike can gather and interact and improve each other's magic yet upholding the magician's code. At the same time reaching out to the public to appriciate magic as an entertainment that's equally suitable for adults and children, and the magician not just thought of as a person with colourful suit at a children's party.

Big plans? Dreamer? Probably B)
But we are not the world police and we don't have to do everything by ourselves. Just whatever reasonable we can if we believe in it. B)

ooo my goal is to be come a hobby magician
magic is simply so entertaining

my goal in magic is to be the best i can be and use magic to reach out to others. i would surely like to see magic being more receptive in asia and more people getting to art and performing well. Would surely be proud to see some of our locals being up there in the international magic scenes..

magic is currently ONLY hobby and i must say i spend a lot of hours on it esp my cards lol. i like to see more and more people getting into it, make more magic buddies to brainstorm and create great effects. i find magic a great tool to break the ice and make frens. its great :)

all in all... just like to see the art grow and be appreciated by the community.

I can say i am doing magic as a hobby now, but maybe i would do it as a profession in future. who knows.

but for now i would also like to do my part to protect the secret. might be an endless battle because of the internet. but i tink as serious enthusiast, we should all do our part.

currently, im doing magic not *just* for the $, but also cos i love it. its not merely a hobby, im highly passionate abt it (and hence feel protective of it).

im not ruling out doing magic professionally though...

my aims in magic are:

1. Gain more knowledge and experience of magic
2. Protect this ancient art from evil ppl
3. Contribute to the body of knowledge (not so much now)
4. Raise the awareness/profile of magic amongst ppl
