Title: Self Lighting Matches Or Spontaneous Combustions

Aloy - March 24, 2005 03:50 PM (GMT)
Want to explore routines with self lighting matches or self combusting anything effects. Basically making fire with magic. Probably parlour or closeup level. I've heard people talking abt Yogi's Gaze but i can't seem the find the source to that. Anybody has any recommendations?

some things which appeal to me would be:

1. flaming wallet (cool if do with the h***** wallet, make flames, extinguish by shutting the wallet, open up to show a prediction or make business cards appear)
2. finger flash (if u've seen it, the flash is HUGE and loud, looks cool, feels hot!)

ReLight by Zach Allen

An impromptu match effect where an ordinary match is lighted, seen to be blown out, and after concentrating on the smoking match for a second or 2, it BURSTS back into flames. Can be examined ;)

It's in his "Ignus Fatuus" e-book which he sells here. (scroll down)

Also, a review for the product can be found over here. The decision is yours... if you want the trailer, I could find it for you on my other computer.

The trick RIGHT after re-light in the eBook is called "BLiMP", and here's the description:

BLiMP - Bare-handed Lit Match Production - What the name says, basically.

Maybe that would appeal to ya? :P

Auto-Matschik by El Duco offers what you want but at a parlour setting. You have to watch your angles though. For close-up, there is Psychic Fire, but its electronic and expensive.

Matches are hardly used nowadays. Instead, why not cause a paper in flames
