Desmond - April 1, 2005 05:54 AM (GMT)

the reviews seem qutie good :P

GordonLi - April 1, 2005 03:09 PM (GMT)
yucks!

u can go for ppl like larry jennings, dai vernon, eugene burger, tommy wonder, these big names in magic who perform gentlemanly. their effects naturally are rather stylish to fit them.

If you want flashy card magic that just SCREAMS the kinda style that grabs the attention of today's generation, check out the magic of Lee Asher and The Buck Twins.

If those aren't your cup of tea (jeez, learning the violin would be easier), follow Gordie's advice, which is the path of the righteous, gentlemanly man ;)

perhaps i misunderstood what he meant by "stylish".

he could probably have meant:

1. Classy Style (the one i interpreted)
2. Flashy Style (the one kev interpreted)

so, anyway, u got answers for whichever might be the case! :)

Kevin - April 1, 2005 03:55 PM (GMT)
Now, if only he'd actually REPLY to confirm our suspicions, eh Gordie? :P

Back on topic, neotrident: you said that you've learn all the stuff in BtP already, and want to learn more stuff. Stop. Practice the stuff that you've learnt well, and when you feel like you're ready, head out and go perform for real people... not a camera. Only when you've made people flip out with the material you've worked on should you progress onto more stuff.

But, if you've already done that, then great! Be sure to follow our reccomendations :D

Follow MICHAEL AMMAR's style.

"Hurr hurr hurr." *does a move* "As I was saying..."

Hurr hurr hurr...

GordonLi - April 1, 2005 04:27 PM (GMT)
i dun really like michael ammar's style.

he's often repetitive (contributing to some irritation), sounds routine and "wierd"...

he doesnt really 'connect' with the audience, thats the main problem i think.

tudor's Gen X has great and stylish card magic... u will be stunned by how stylish and good he is... but hehe not for beginneers....

abt ammar style... well.. he is kinda the best teacher in magic for me as he explains them well. everything is down slow and nicely... not like some others who just quickly rushes through the tricks.

neotrident - April 2, 2005 07:38 AM (GMT)
kev got it right,my stylish is e one he interpreted..

LarryDK - April 2, 2005 03:57 PM (GMT)
Nice.. I think want to do magic wif style.. Is how u present ur magic infront of audience.. Either u going to do the standard routine.. Or u going to do some more actions into it.. That look convincing or beatiful.. Hmm.. Showmanship..

Thats wat i learn in cheerleading.. Haha!!

spiritual - April 3, 2005 01:07 AM (GMT)

Please DO NOT make any more attempts to ask people to sell their DVDs and videos to you at a cheap price. This is NOT the marketplace section of the forum.

If you still have any desires to buy DVDs and videos off someone for a CHEAP price, please PM the person. If you don't know what PM means, it means Private Message. Go to your inbox - if you've sent email before, it's the same thing.

If you persist with your current actions, I will not hesitate to give you a warning level.

There is nothing for free here - except maybe the chance to make friends.

BuaYa - April 3, 2005 02:25 AM (GMT)
What ever happened to FREEdom of speach?

spiritual - April 3, 2005 10:25 AM (GMT)
huh we cannot call people sell us the dvd at cheap price???

Kevin - April 3, 2005 10:32 AM (GMT)
Not in THIS section of the forum, spiritual... the Marketplace is more appropriate for these kind of plea's... and yeah, do try to make posts that actually make sense, or we shall all turn into Grammar Nazi's. You don't want that.

-Kev

LarryDK - April 3, 2005 01:10 PM (GMT)
*nod* *nod* Actually i think it is better to talk to the person.. And if he is willing to let go.. He will tell u urself.. Then u ask from him.. In the end.. U 2 learning the same thing.. And he pay so much for it.. And getting from him, ya a 2nd hand but most likely unless u and him is very good frenz.. OR else.. I dun think he will want.. Hehe..

But anyway.. It is still :off:
