Sorry to maybe alot of others that i look quiet.. Juz that i not used to it yet.. But heres my review of today's event:

I like the new structure of the oncoming SMC thing.. Nice, juz that there are also alot of small loopholes around that need to consider.. Anyway.. I not the council, but one word, i will help for sure..

Then came the performance.. Wow.. Nice one.. Hehe.. Exp those PRO magicians.. The Mental one is the killer man.. I was trying to figure out.. But i give up.. I enjoy the whole thing instead.. Haha!! The rest of the performance is good also.. Abit regret that i din perform.. Since as one of the senior performance said.. and also Pam have said.. Performance is actually better than wat u practise.. It built up your confidence on the trick or sleight.. U wont tremble if u are good on the stage..

Ad for the guys, I surprised that there are females magician going on.. Wow.. Kevin.. u are the man.. Haha!! Damn crappy.. Tom, thanks for bringing me around and seeing me that i am fine around.. The rest that i forgot the names for showing me some moves and esp the linking rings.. Kill me please!!! Too bad i not rich.. And Ning, our little magic shop for the small token of coke..

Hope to attend another kind of this event soon.. Getting know more of the magician in this circle.. and of course gaining more exp and improving ourselves during this process..

Hey dude.. Dun worry.. I rem everything:

1st: Assessed by a Peer from the development and training department - headed by Pam and Fadri (Sorry if i got the name wrong)
2nd: Perform once during one of the monthly meeting (It is not an entry test)
3rd: Perform once in a outdoor event (Charity or Performance)
4th: There is no fee charges.
5th: To buy a $100 voucher from Ning!!

Haha, Okie.. The 5th one is a FAKE.. Juz to shock some ppl.. Hehe.. Okie.. These are the basic 4 that i can rem.. Anyone free to include some more from the meeting juz now.. Please feel free..

Oh ya.. U need to have a certain skill level inorder to be the member.. As for what skill level? Still under construction..
Our president also stress that personnal attitude towards magic and other magicians is more important than skill, but skill is still required la..

Hmm.. I can onli think of tat for now.. And one thing.. This is wat i rem.. My words dun represent the words that our president had said during the meeting.. So.. U guys know la.. Take care..

It was rather fun today. (or it is yesterday?)

The part that i enjoyed was the whole gang of us at the bus stop, it feels like we are ONE big family. So heart-warming... :g:

I'm glad that I went today- it was hella fun, I got to crack tons of dumbass pranks and jokes, and I'm lucky no one flamed me for the blatant "exposure" during my performance (winkwinknudgenudgecynwell). But I agree with Ling... the unofficial gatherings are always the most fun ;)

Larry, there is no skill level required to becoming a member, if my memory serves me right. As long as you PERFORM for the two aforementioned occasions, you'll be legitimate for SMC membership, regardless of skill level. Booya!

I notice that a lot of people arent clapping about stuff. Im not talking about my own acts OF COURSE. its just that, its courtesy during a performance! when i was watching, i could see many people whispering about how stuff is done, and they were so preoccupied they didnt show the deserved appreciation when the magician pulled of his act. next time, just sit back and feel how wonderful it is to be astonished.. im not even gonna bother asking abt the stuff that seriously fooled me!

Hey, it was my first meeting with SMC, thought I did meet Siyang, Clement, Cynwell and Elvin before this event.

I must say, you guys are great! Everyone was so friendly, it almost feels as if I knew you before I knew you.

Sad to say, I had to leave earlier because I was meeting a friend, so I cannot appreciate your "bus-stop scene" hahaha, but I bet it was fun!

Many thanks for Mr Pam Budi for getting the place, and for everyone who made it so enjoyable!

After this meeting, my first comment is that SMC is one step closer to being an official magic society, like IBM and SAM. that's a good thing, really. it goes to show how we perceive ourselves as a group, not just a bunch of magicians going around Youthpark and all.

Pambudi, many thanks for the great function room! although it would have been great if the room were a little smaller, or if we had a larger group, the room suited its purpose well. although there were times when I felt quite cold..

As for the performances, I came rather late. about 7.15pm, in the middle (actually, near the end) of Kevin's performance. did I catch most of the performances? you guys were great! the applause thing is also a (sortof) problem in IBM and SAM, as they are too busy thinking about how the effect was achieved rather than the impact of the effect itself, but for astonishing performances (say.. Magicdow's matrix) I was simply caught off guard. now I understand why there are so many variations of the matrix effect.

I must point out that having to count and settle everything with those 2 McD employees really irked me. they had this nonchalant attitude about delivering the food in a respectable condition.. practically stuffing it in my face and making me count it. can we get at least one more person to help out next time? Thanks to Gordie for helping me coordinate the distribution of the food. the collection is still a big problem though.

Anyway, it was great hanging out with everyone after the outing, hopefully a month will be over before we know it!

First, I really wanna thank uz_tham and gordie for the tremendeous help for this meeting. Thanks guys, couldn't have done without you. :)

And kudos to Farid and Pam, spearheading events are the most difficult coz we didn't have precedence to follow. But it really all went so smoothly. Proof that there are at least 2 very excellent decisions (for the heads of the Development and Training) in the blueprint of the new SMC structure B)

And while thanking Ning for her Coke, I also wanna thank Winder and Illusionist for picking it up, I couldn't do it coz of work and something kept me up almost the whole night before that. Thank you macho men B)

Great to meet so many new people this time. Honestly, i expected a bigger turn-out but the turnout was still very good and comfortable. Let this be the 1st of many more to come!

And PLEASE don't call me President :P
