Title: Inquiry On Tally Hos
Description: Fan back? Circle back?

Barney - April 4, 2005 07:23 PM (GMT)
I asked this earlier in another thread. Seems like no one answered. Crap. Should have just posted this here straight away.

Anyway:

Is there really any difference between Circle back and Fan back Tallys? I mean, i'm not a Tally user (so i'm in no position to say), but from most webbies i visit, i gather that its just cosmetic. Am i wrong? Did i miss out on something here?

Btw, in addition to personal opinions, i'd like 'proof' (like statements in online webbies etc.), should there be any real distinct differences.. :)

Thanks a lot guys. ^_^

Theres some need work on PS.

Did yu use the render of the pic in your web album?..Looked familiar

Kevin - April 5, 2005 02:26 PM (GMT)
Dude, it wasn't me who did those... if you've been on the DnD forums, it was Erik DeFlare who did that to the pics. Not me.

haha.. Kevin Hos.

anyway, I believe Barney was referring to whether or not there are differences between circle and fan backs, other than their design. probably referring to the quality, feel and whatever other things related to tallys.

am I right?

Kevin - April 5, 2005 03:24 PM (GMT)
From what I know, the Circle Backs are stiffer (the red ones, at least), and the Fan Backs have a sort of griddled edge when first opened. Users of them will know what I mean.

Other than that, these are just different designs for the same brand of cards ;)

Yes uz_tham. That's what i was referring to.

At this point of time, only one person has bothered to answer my quesiton.. Btw, Kevin, your Kevin Hos sure did a good amount of distraction such that no one even saw the topic question.

Egad. Kevin Hos. What about Santa Claus?

Ho ho Hos? <_<

LarryDK - April 6, 2005 06:53 AM (GMT)
I use tally ho.. Tally ho generally is stiffer.. As for the different design.. Hmm it seems that i cant get both design.. I can onli get the fan back.. Hmm.. But generally its stiffer than bicycle..

Daren - April 7, 2005 10:24 AM (GMT)
IMO.. i prefer the circle back design..
1.slightly stiffer
2.one wayed
3.when doing bad habit.... tis circle thingys start spining-looks really nice.

Desmond - April 7, 2005 11:19 AM (GMT)
yea circle backs looks real good when u spin it on your finger :P

lukold - April 7, 2005 02:55 PM (GMT)

With reference to point number Two:

Until now, i'm STILL looking at the pics of the Tally Ho back designs that Kevin posted. I still can't figure out the reason as to why the Circle Backs are one wayed. Can anyone (those who own these decks) tell me what shape or design makes this card one way? I mean, i turned my head upside down, and it still looks the same! Arghh..

This is like some 'spot the difference' puzzle.

Btw, concerning what i am asking.. Is it exposure? Whoops..

iewgnod - April 9, 2005 03:17 AM (GMT)
its said that tallys are one wayed in 3 different ways
strain u're eyes by starng at the card for mabey a few months and u'll get it :!!:
i prefer circle backs
thinner
it won't expand till u can't fit it into u're box
looks nicer :g:

SeNgHoE - April 9, 2005 01:47 PM (GMT)
i don use them that often, dun really like them.. But i feel that the circles are thinner than the Fan backs.. so yea..

When I buy cards the person there gives them to me free and gives me a strawberry-covered chocolate lollipop that he's smeared all over his naked hairy body. The person's a guy too. I think he's trying to tell me something.

Serious?

Anyway, how much are the Tallys at Golden Landmark? Do their prices vary between 6.50 and 8.00? If these prices that retsevlys (Sylvester) referred to are those quoted by GL, that means the aunty there likes me!

She offered them for 6.50 to me.

Or is it already 6.50 and fixed at GL? <_<

Andy - April 11, 2005 12:51 AM (GMT)
Hmm. I was also offered 6.50 when i went there yesterday afternoon. Does that mean she likes me too?

GL?? oh ya, Golden Landmark. $6.50 at GL is very very cheap..erm..ya.... B)

hard to find such offers elsewhere man. :P :P

I remembered that long time ago when Magic Castle brought in 2 small boxes of Tallys, they were selling at 10 bucks for a deck.

This is getting weird. Either the price is really fixed at 6.50, or she likes both you (Andy) and I!

Haha.. :off:
