Poker Deck
Effect: Casinos use this deck for games such as poker and blackjack.
Tarot Deck
Effect: Used by gypsies to predict a person's future
Double Deck

Whoa! LAME! (brit accent) :g:
There's the Invisible Deck and the Svengali Deck. These are the most common. You can get these from Toys r Us. ^_^
Others include Rising Card, and Brainwave etc.. Not as common, though.
Invisible Deck: Think of a card! *spreads out a face up deck* Eh. There's a face down card here. *drumroll* Its your card!
Svengali Deck: Here, pick a card. See it goes back to the middle.. Boom! Its at the top again. Let's do it again, and again, and again..
Brainwave: Variation of Invisible Deck. (i may be wrong)
Rising Card: Duh. Self Explanatory.

| Lame <------ |
I picked the second option from the hyperlink. This offers the clearest description. ^_^

Jolly Good Oh Chap. :)
Brits don't use Lame as much as the Yankies
They rather say "Bloody Hell Barney"
BuaYa - April 16, 2005 12:22 PM (GMT)
I think the person who's the lamest is usually the person who says it, because he just doesn't get, or appreciate, a joke.

That's odd. I get the joke, and i appreciate it. Hmmm..
Maybe its out of habit? I think that i may have unknowingly substituted the word 'haha' for 'lame' in my everyday vocabulary. :g:
Anyway, don't you think this is getting way off topic? Let's help neotrident, shall we?

i think it depends on what " special " deck you use ^_^ lol

well, u brought up the case of stripper deck, i assume u know they can be used as normal decks. so naturally, its not hard to deduce that they are "gimmicked" decks which cannot be examined...

I think only the Stripper deck applies to this (not too sure about the others). But to the watchful layman, be careful!
Anyway, i play bridge and 'dai dee' with a Stripper deck. Thisis because, of all the decks i have, the stripper is of the lowest quality. Therefore, i allow it to be subjected to the sweaty palms of my friends.. :g:
Anyway, i use it for cheating (a little difficult, though) and i also use it for magic. Should someone suddenly ask me, i just proceed to whip out the four aces after thorough shuffles. This is enough to shut them up to allow me to get back to my game. B)
Until now, none of my friends can see the gimmick. Quite amazing. (But that's good)
IMHO, the stripper is one of the best, if not, THE best gimmicked deck around (in many ways). :g:

Somehow i don't like stripper decks, even though they can be used as normal decks. I prefer to be a PURIST and just use normal cards.

Well, i'm no purist. I'm rather impure. B)
Anyway, please don't crap too much.. Help the guy who posted this thread in the first place. He wants to know what other kinds of special decks there are, not the preference of other members.

I like the invisible deck... my friends are still pondering over the logic of the trick. Done it quite a lot of times, gets bigger reactions when you do it the second time. It can be used as a normal deck, but... you won't wanna do that... too troublesome

<<Magic>> - May 14, 2005 07:47 AM (GMT)
