Card College Series by Roberto Giobbi are good to learn from.
With many well illustrated photos, it makes learning easy
The books go from beginner to more advance stuff as you go through the them from Volume 1 to 5

For card sleights only, Daryl has a series of dvd on card sleights. It covers plenty sleights.
DVDs are a faster way of learning but one tend to follow the style of the perfomer on the dvd (may be good or bad). I'd say book is still a good investment. At least you'll be able to keep you own personality when you perform.

You may check out the book called "Royal Road to Card Magic".

In terms of DVD, I think "Easy to Master Card Series" would be good to look into... ^_^
