Depends if you like gaffs.
GordonLi - April 23, 2005 04:39 AM (GMT)
there are many versions for the matrix, maybe bernard can recommend some sources for the matrix.
i heard there's one good book on matrixes alone, but forgot the name. any1 knows?
exohordon - April 23, 2005 04:45 AM (GMT)
I think Dean Dill has a good version of coin matrix

Its call "Matrix God's way by John Born".
The originator of Matrix is Al Schnieder. It can be found in one of his dvd.
My advice is not to by a single effect for this. Most decent coin books will have this effect in it.
I'm not really a fan of Matrix, I prefer bare handed coin assembly.
GordonLi - April 23, 2005 06:41 AM (GMT)
ic, i also prefer barehanded coin assemblies as its less cumbersome. then again, i only know a very simple one.
any sources on those?
Magicdow - April 23, 2005 07:42 AM (GMT)
There's a recent dvd by Daniel Garcia call Sh4de. Cool no extra coin with backfire and instant assembly.
Other than that, Roth's Chink-a-chink is a good and simple one. Finish it off with Bob Kohler's Knich-a-knich, a backfire.

Totally agree with Magicdow... Chink-a-Chink is a great coin transpoz effect :) Clean, simple, effective magic. Worth a check out ;)

cool, i find the backfire effect highly intriguing (considering i only have basic idea of it). :)

I can teach lah. You want the copy version or the original? ;)
Copy = $25 (just following the trend)
Original = US$15

Er...
those who do not know magicdow's brand of humor, fyi, he's only joking about both the teaching & pirated copies.

well, considering his strong stance against piracy...
if it was some1 else who said it, and if it seemed real enough, i might take drastic measures...

Ok.
Btw, Did david blaine did any matrix ?

[/QUOTE]Btw, Did david blaine did any matrix ?
He did nothing but only TV.... ha ha
BTW, there are quite a lot nice tricks which may use combine coins
and cards.
But... the most important point (in my opinion) in select the trick.,
would be select the right trick for your level., don't push to far beyond
you can handle.
e.g. Matrix, start in learn "What is a basic Matrix effect" ? Do the basic
good and magical., then made research in those LINK with it.
Develop from the basic and made it grow.
My first "Matrix" was only use 4 cards, one st*** move and one pick up
move. Then, I found 2 cards with 4 coins, no card with 4 coins. Then,
additional coins.... then...... graff..... then.... t***** with coins (YES, t***** :) )and now there are somthing belong to myself.
Something like "Shadow Coins" aka barehand coins assembly, there are different versions, with or without graff etc.
There are more info from David Roth's and others.

Seng Hoe...why u reveal my name? Anyway,is there any dvds which teaches you all kinds of matrix effects? Now that u all say so much about it,i think i wanna make a routine with this trick...
Magicdow - April 29, 2005 01:47 PM (GMT)
Never heard about a dvd that contain only Matrix effects. The closest would probably be
Extreme Dean a 2 dvd set. The effects are mainly bare handed assembly. Dean Dill does it beautifully.
