Title: Piracy Reporting

Aloy - April 23, 2005 05:36 AM (GMT)
It has come to my attention that some people have been using SMC to sell pirated videos thru PMs and MSN.

I would like to emphasis again that we take this abuse of the community that we have built very very seriously.
If anyone received any offers for sale of pirated videos, please report it to me at aloyeo@singaporemagiccircle.com or to any of the moderators, if possible, with proof (e.g. PM, email, chat log) and actions will be taken. I promise complete anonymity for all information received.

Cheers

PurplePink and ShadowMaster has been banned for 1000 days (yes, One Thousand Days) each for trying to sell pirated Videos to our forumites and members.

Chance of parole if they would email me a viable explaination of why they have been EXPLOITING our thankless efforts to build an online community for magic in Singapore for their personal gain.

Dear all, please report any piracy activities to our moderators and admins :)
I am serious about the ending piracy on SMC.
Nobody is above this rule, admins, mods, lao-jiaos, or otherwise.

I will need your help that should anyone receive any offers for pirated products to let me or Ning or any of the admins know.

I would like to announce that Newb has been banned from the forum until year 2033 for selling pirated products to members.

I am <insert very vulgar expression> sick and tired of <insert very vulgar expression that mention family members> newbies who join this place mantained by so many people who loved this art to SHAMELESSLY try to sell their <insert very vulgar expression that mention rotting body parts> pirated videos.

I hope whoever else is doing this will <insert colourful description of a very tragic end involving a sexually transmitted disease>.

I will sooner shut down this place than to condone this.

Changes will be implemented to better control this.

The next person to win the "Kana ban" lottery is Bcoz.

Banned for 30 years for selling pirated VCD to members.
Quite sickening isn't it? That some people JUST cannot listen.
Any suggestions about what we can do about this?

hey.

How about disable PM for newbies?

We believe in playing nice... like how everyone is innocent until proven guilty, as opposite to the everyone is guilty until proven innocent take  SMC is a peace loving place but piracy is something we seriously do not condone. So everyone has free will, just be nice and play by the rules to make this place a good haven for local magicians and lovers of the art ^_^

Cheers,
ning
