yeah, you know the thing on ellusionist about inventing tricks? well, i've been thinking fr quite a while and i thoguht why not put up a discussion to have a brainstorming session, you know, more brains, better tricks... then we can split the money and be famous

but then again, if anyone think this is stupid, then just close down this discussion.

Well, it great to have brainstorming about magic, but i personally think it will be hard also, as brainstorming here will give the public an idea of what is coming up, maybe it should be done in the members area.

Why don't you guys revamp goodbye vanish and make David Copperfield buy the exclusive rights for 100K. That would make you rich too. For some time that is...

I dunno, with E it's more for the money. I say make magic from the heart. Then go for the money :D

But seriously, good, new, effects are hard to come by, most of them are just variations of old plots. Some of them are great, the others don't fare so well. All in all, what works for you, works for you... and if you feel it might benefit others, feel free to share it however you can. Burr.

i agree with kev though, "think not what magic can do for u, but what u can do for magic" - can't rmb which magician said this.

money is secondary, but in any case, im not selling my rights to the effect/idea/product to anyone.

the money thing isn't really the issue... i think everyone just wanna contribute to magic, which is a good thing. but money is good cause it can be used to buy props etc.

anyway back to the topic... what type effect should we try to produce? I like the idea of walking up walls, but i think that's too hard... i like vanishes too..any one else have other ideas?
